Wellfully is a South Dakota drug treatment facility that specifically treats adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 who may be struggling with alcohol abuse, drug addiction, and possible co-occurring disorders. The goal of these services are to address safe functioning within the home and other areas of the person's life as well as help them develop the coping skills necessary for maintaining sobriety and positive behaviors long-term. The length of care does depend on the individual person, however, the average stay is around 45-60 days. Treatment services include individual counseling, coping skill development, trauma therapies, peer support, continuing care, aftercare planning, and more. Loved ones are encouraged to participate in these programs, especially when it comes to adduction education, prevention services, and learning how to deal with recovery in the home. Wellfully does accept Medicaid and other forms of payment for their services, including some forms of health insurance. Clients in need of detoxification services prior to treatment may need to be referred to a different facility.
