About Oxford Treatment Center
Oxford Treatment Center utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities to help patients overcome addiction and work through their specific needs. These modalities include but are not limited to: Trauma-based therapies One on one counseling Family therapy Group therapy Art and music therapy Stress management and mindfulness Equine therapy Each patient that arrives at Oxford will have a tailored treatment program that is specific to them and their situations.
Many Veterans and first responders have likely experienced events and traumas most civilians haven't. Our Mississippi addiction treatment facility offers a program—Salute to Recovery—that provides co-occurring disorder treatment specifically designed for Vets and first responders living with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse disorders.
At Oxford Treatment Center, we have developed a specialized Trauma Track for those who are suffering from the hardships of past experiences. Among those seeking treatment for drug or alcohol addiction, unresolved traumatic experiences can include: Experiencing physical, verbal, or emotional abuse, experiencing sexual abuse, experiencing a sudden loss or complicated grief, witnessing or being a part of violence, involvement in a traumatic car accident, or receiving a devastating medical diagnosis.
Oxford Treatment Center offers a drug and alcohol addiction program for couples. Relationships where one or both partners struggle with substance abuse or addiction can be very difficult to navigate. Addiction can impact the mental and physical health of each person individually and take a toll on the relationship itself. By getting help for drug and alcohol addiction together as a couple, both partners can work through the recovery process, while also addressing the functional issues of their relationship. This can strengthen the connection between partners and lead to sustained recovery.
