Oh where to even begin. The main issue I saw within Vitality was the lack of professionalism. Staff would talk poorly about other clients to other clients, share their night out plans and talk about drinking. The staff had zero effective communication with one another. You were called out in front of the entire clientele about any flaws. The female staff tend to favorite the male clients and show flirty or inappropriate behavior towards the males. The cooks had a very very poor attitude, asking simple questions and being shut down almost immediately. Absolutely no structure, one thing people with addictive personality’s need is structure. Going to back to lack of professionalism- a counselor word for word said “well I have the right to say what I feel and I could go to a client and say another client is a piece of s*** and I have a right to say how I feel” but if a client has any behavioral issues, even “expressing how they feel” that client is removed immediately.
Prior to graduating the program, the clinic does a “coin out” where you receive a coin with the serenity prayer on it and everyone in the group can put words of encouragement into the coin, I was told by staff that you can take that coin, go literally next door where there’s a sports bar, turn in that said coin to the bartender and receive a free drink. To me it seems as if the staff could care less if you recover or not, they’re getting a pay check regardless.
Now on a personal note, I was assaulted during my stay and the lack of empathy and regard that the staff shown was utmost disrespectful, the other client left on their own terms which seemed to “solve” the situation. It was kind of a weird situation to begin with but I was extremely uncomfortable.
The counselor I had at the beginning had absolutely no emotion when I would express my feelings or emotions to that person, it was as if I was talking to a wall, no empathy, they seemed to simply not care what I had to say.
I’m not sure if it was staffing issues which seems to be an excuse for most company’s but I do not recommend this place to anyone. It felt as if it was High School all over again but worst.

Toxic environment, toxic employees, outdated management, ridiculous rules. Do not care about the program or the people the program is supposed to help. Would be better to pass off the company to people who actually understand these programs and how to work with and understand people and their problems, and actually want to work towards a solution.

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. The counselors were understanding, empathetic, professional & knowledgeable. The techs were great. If you behaved and treated them with respect they would treat you with respect. I learned so much at this program, things I didn’t even know about myself.
They gave me the tools to continue sobriety in the real world. Not to mention, the food was delicious! Big portions and mostly homemade.
I appreciate all the staff. It was a great and helpful experience...

This is truly the best program. The staff and curriculum were great and everyone was devoted to my successful completion of the program. It was a very supportive atmosphere and the counselors went out of their way to assist me with eveything i needed. The food and accomdations were excellent. If I ever have to have treatment again, I would definitely return.
Thank you vitality center! I have 7 years, 44 days sober due to your outstanding program.

I voluntarily entered the rehab program with no criminal requirements upon me. I just wanted to get better it was the worst 30 days of my entire life none of the patients cared at all about getting better they were just fulfilling a court requirement. Patients continually had physical encounters which with each other snuck and drugs all manner of stuff they should not have had. I just wanted to get better it was the worst 30 days of my entire life none of the patients cared at all about getting better they were just fulfilling a court requirement. Patients continually had physical encounters which with each other snuck and drugs all manner of stuff they should not have had. The inmates are running the Asylum and the staff was completely inadequate. There was a huge risk of constant paranoia from the patients because if they didn't graduate they had to go back to jail and they'd lose their children. They continually accuse voluntary patients of telling on them or trying to get them in trouble or kicked out. This is not a safe place for anyone seriously wanting to get better. I so badly wanted to get help and I left with nothing but a years worth of nightmares. The food is horrible every last woman couldn't even wear their original clothing out the front door they got so fat. Try to go anywhere but this place.

They dont care about the patients well being. They are there to get a paycheck and that's it. They dont try to create good family relationships for the patients. They just segregate them and collect money. I dont doubt half of the staff are using as well.

A year ago this place was great. Now (7/23/19), it is absolutely terrible. they are only there to collect a paycheck. I even visited their "24/7 crisis hotline" I called 3 times! no answer. If I was in the place I was a year ago when this place was the last option I was going to give life, I would not be here.
