It was better than The Centers overall. Still horrible in most ways, but actually good or halfway good in some aspects. They don't respect your legal rights or social dignity either, but they do have a gym and a cafeteria and let you out of your cage on a regular basis to go to them. Other places don't have a real cafeteria or a gym. The Centers does have a much better enclosed space with grass, air, and sunshine than the one The Vines has though. It is basically just for smoke breaks here. ...

This place is beyond terrible. I was forced to come here from Jacksonville under baker act and I never felt more uncared for and mistreated in my life. These nurses and techs were BEYOND unprofessional, and looking at past reviews i can tell they have done nothing to fix this. I had come in with many cuts all over my legs and I didn’t get any treatment for them until the day before i left and that wasn’t until late afternoon. At one point i needed someone because i was having an anxiety attac...

I thought I was the only one experiencing the poor care this hospital provided. I experienced them falsifying documents. I also was injured while in their care. It was not reported. I was baker, acted under suicide ideation‘s. They had promised to transfer me to another facility so that I can receive care, and the transport was supposed to be door to door meaning the one facility will either come and pick me up or they will deliver me to the other facility that did not happen. Instead, they g...

Although I cannot attest for being a patient at the hospital, I can attest for the wonderful community outreach staff that The Vines has. Geoff and the individual he works closely with are wonderful people! They help out our organization, Zero Hour Life Center, with support and have sponsored our events. Unfortunately with a state hospital, you may not receive perfect care, but as for the staff in the community, I highly recommend!

I stayed here a year ago when I was pregnant. I was mistreated by almost the entire staff - they didn’t work with me at all for any issues I had, they refused to even give me my clean clothes when I asked for them (I was covered in sweat for the muggy hot room they had me in). I was sick and vomiting couldn’t keep even water down and a staff member said “you’re not special, we’ve all been pregnant” and another staff member called my panic attack a tantrum. Here I am a year later still trying ...

I was a patient here the staff were not ideal and the environment is also not the best but I met great people (other patients and some staff) and I really did heal a bit there the yoga was nice too. I was sent hear from The Refuge in a cop car and when I got there (without any of my belongings) It was much more welcoming than any other psych ward I kind of miss it

I was just discharged a week ago. By far the best facility in the Norhwest Florida area. The mental health technicians were great. They offered both therapeutic and recreational groups continuously throughout the day to keep you busy and the food was great. The Psychiatrist I worked with (Dr. Fayed) was amazing

6 years ago, when I was 14 I was forced to come here for SIP. I have literally never been more traumatized and I’ve been through a lot. Staff members were abusive for the thrill of it. Ms Keisha would do something called “Hotel Keisha” where she humiliated girls she didn’t like, staff members like Ms Joe would bring girls into a separate room and yell at them and threaten to hurt them until they cried. I cried myself to sleep every single night. They took pleasure in our pain. Forced to eat f...
