I give 5 stars to valley. I've been here around 10 plus. Each and every time I'm greeted with a smile and a high five. The nurses are always on top of their game meeting sure I'm comfortable at the least. The clinical staff are always working their butts to find placement that fits us to s

Great place to go if you want to be talked down to, dismissed, and treated like some creature less than human who is clearly too incompetent to take care of yourself - instead of a fellow human being who is struggling with life. I can confidently say my mental health improved once I left, because it couldn't possibly get any worse due to my stay there. Rude miserable staff, and unprofessional callousness is to be expected. The workers definetely enjoy their own fair share of medication. If yo...

My experience with Valley Hospital has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, I was met with unparalleled professionalism and efficiency. The referral process was incredibly straightforward, making it a breeze for people to access mental health services. One of the standout aspects of Valley Hospital is their unwavering dedication to accessibility and support. Every time I call, they are prompt in answering the phone, and ready and eager to assist with any inquiries or c...

I attended Valley Health in 2015 after a nervous breakdown due to work related stress and the passing of my father. I could not deal with what was going on around me, and was feeling all kinds of suicidal and homicidal. I found the staff at the time to be completely caring of the patients they tended to. There were groups to attend, and social workers you could talk to after groups if you needed more information or support. People talked to each other and made connections. If I happened to be...

I came here for an alcohol detox. The nurse refused to give me my Ativan, offered me Tylenol PM instead. I was prescribed Ativan OBVIOUSLY by the doctor. Alcohol withdrawal is dangerous and I was in complete shock that she refused to give me my medication. If you come in for detox, you’re on the same floor as the people on a psychiatric hold. If you try to leave before your ‘detox’ is ‘over’, they place you on a 24 hour hold. Also, I signed my release forms and they refused to release me on t...

My husband was brought here by ambulance. The ER staff was good and was able to get CT and MRI scans quickly. However the next day was horribly slow (over 6 hous) in doing the follow up therapy and cat scans. We eventually asked to be discharged Without the tests.

I had the misfortune of being put into the coed side of the Mental Health ward and was verbally assaulted by a male patient who was very vulgar and graphic. At the time I handled him and he backed off. Afterwards I reported it because I didn't want it happening to other women in the unit who wouldn't or couldn't defend themselves. How I was treated afterwards was the most horrible experience of my life. Afterwards the supervisor of the units ANNETTE talked to me and implied that it was all my...
