This Reno VA is very different from the VA in Las Vegas I'm used to. It's located in a Reno residential area with limited parking. You have to figure out what color elevator takes you to the floor your appointment is on. Staff and medical providers were all friendly.

This VA is the best. Everyone from the check in, to nurses, and the doctors too, lol. Really care about our vets, They are a shining example of caring for the men and women, who have served our country. Thank you all for your service.

Anyone giving this place a five star rating is a crackhead! I've tried using this place for 22 years, and they've messed up everytime single time! I got made fun of in a mental health class during an anxiety attack. Doctors here couldn't do what interns did at other VA hospitals in the same network did with ease. Couldn't get a note to drop my college courses when needed one, the hack doctors are unapproachable. My car stereo was stolen while parked in the parking lot. Got assaulted by a ment...

I have been a patient for 4 yrs at Reno VA. I'm a retired medic and medical administrative superintendent. Have heard terrible stories about other VA facilities. Reno VA has treated me very well. Appointments have never been a problem getting. Sorry, but those giving poor ratings seem like basic crybaby complainers. I don't and never have worked for VA. Update Dec 2023: I have been a patient for 13 yrs. No complaints, just praise for those who I've interacted with. Thank You to the staff of ...

I've been to the South Texas VA, North Texas VA, Seattle area VA and the Reno Sierra VA. My opinion is that the Reno Sierra VA is the best.

If you are not depressed when you get there you will be by the time you leave. They cancel or dont even bother to show up for 90% of scheduled appointments and will find any made up reason to make it the veterans fault. It is not always the doctors that are the problem, it is the support staff, rude and incompetent. They just dont care. Some doctors dont show up or cancel appointments that veterans wait 4-6 months for. It is disgusting that they cannot be counted on for veterans BUT the VA em...

I have been getting my health care at this VA Hospital for years up until a year ago when I got my Medicare and Tricare. They are a great facility and provide wonderful care. As with any medical program that provides full care the wait can be a bit long but they do the best I have seen to minimize that. There are many changes that have happened in the last year and a half but their experienced staff can be and a great help. Parking can be troublesome but only for those that do not have physic...
