Trying to get health care at the VA in Ann Arbor is an exercise in futility. The bureaucrats working here treat people like they are nothing more than a pile of dung. Outside of the Bureaucrats is another level of incompetence in the Primary Care Dept. In fact, calling this "Primary Care" is another oxymoron. Since I had a MD that could not be bothered with serious health issues, she instead contributed to the various run arounds I was getting. I filled out the form to get a new MD. That was ...

My husband receives services at this location. We are alot closer to the Detroit facility but it is horrible!! The staff in Ann Arbor are awesome!!! They are compassionate and caring and take their time to understand what the veterans need. Often we walk into departments and they know us by face and name which makes you feel like more then just a number. Could not ask for better care then he receives. Top notch in our book!!!!

This is a very good hospital. The doctors all come from U of M and are very good. I have been coming here for 18 years now and it's changed thru the years all for the better. They have been working on renewal for a long time and the end is in sight. All of my doctors are here and I get excellent care. They are also very thorough. I've had to stay here for awhile and the nurses really care. They treat you very well. Everywhere here is wheelchair accessible including parking.

One of the worst V.A. I've been too. If your a veteran don't waste your time trying to get help here, they will just give you the run around and make excuses about stuff. Completely a joke.

Not sure how this hospital has a 4.0 out of 5. Those leaving 5 out of 5s are either being told to leave a positive review or its paid reviews. I've had many health issues over the years and have had to come here 70 or more times over the last 14 years. The negative experiences FAR outweigh the positives. It's despicable and disgusting. With how bad this place is, I wont even dare go to the detroit location. This place is touted as one of the best in the country...LOL. Complete lie. I can't e...

I cannot express enough how great this facility is. First, my PCP, Dr. Dussán, is amazing. She is very attentive and open. I asked her for a hysterectomy and she didn’t even ask “Why?” She just straight gave me a referral. I got my hysterectomy on community care due to the Detroit VA being backed up. Then, my nurse, Jackie, in mental health is fantastic. She actually talks to me. She has great conversations. Lastly, the janitor, Mr. Laurence always brings me joy. His smiling face and jazz m...

My review is based upon my interactions with Lori, the receptionist on the 7th floor Endoscopy clinic. She is the heart of this entire hospital. If you've been to Endoscopy and been checked in, you know what I mean. This lovely woman approaches every single person she encounters with the utmost most respect, coated in kindness, wrapped in the perfect amount compassion, that eases the fears of her patients and their family or friend that is accompanying them for their procedure. It is a j...

Vets don't get what they paid for. SW will prepare to live in car cause a community of caring is a lie. Fed and state need to do more to get these men and women trustworthy caring human aides. I walk through the halls and see people who served their country for whatever reason who can use assistance. The callousness. It takes head AND heart to properly run a successful gov. I have never voted for a leader; I vote for REPRESENTATIVES
