Benefits

The facility has caring and compassionate psychiatrists like Dr. Small who have the best interests of their patients in mind.

Patients can receive great care once they settle into the system with a therapist and/or psychiatrist.

The patient services are considered to be great once accessed.

Dr. Small is caring and compassionate and no matter how many missteps you may take, I felt he always had my best interest in mind. I would recommend him as a psychiatrist any day of the week. He always had my best interest in mind and I for the most part appreciated his judgment despite my circumstances. Could always be better but could always be worse. He is a great place to start if not more. There are still good providers out there despite the income gap.

My husband was in crisis and they offered no help. They let him struggle and suffer alone with no guidance. Absolutely no follow up. I'm not sure what purpose your facility holds. When your patients need you the most your absent... Are you too busy? Like every UR medicine facility. You all should be ashamed of the failure of care you provide.

I’ve never had a bad therapist through strong ties and I’ve had various decent psychiatrists. The patient services are great but getting into the Strong Ties system is hard. Long wait lists, cryptic to downright useless call lines, confusing structure of the various clinics that can sometimes end up getting you shuffled around until a good place for you is found. I would like to say though once you work out these issues and settle into a therapist and/or a psychiatrist the care is great and d...

They help the people and families that need, and want the help. I have and will continue to refer people to them. Thank you for all the support everyone at Strong has given to our family.😊

I have been with Strong Ties since it was on Elmwood Ave. I have had nothing but positive experiences. I have had the same therapist and Dr. for many years. Getting through to them through My Chart is so quick and easy, and I usually get a response the same day. Not from other people but directly from them. The receptionists are very welcoming and do their job well. I would refer anyone to them.

I’ve been going to treatment for my entire life, but I’ve never been given worse care (therapy) than at Strong Ties. My therapist was cold, judgmental, seemed to genuinely and openly dislike me - but wouldn’t let me switch. It messed with me a lot. Dr. Burdick was kind, I implemented lifestyle changes she recommended after I left and it helped me, but based on my therapist, I can’t recommend NOT going to Strong Ties enough.

I'll try and keep this short: Apparently this place USED to be good. However, last I knew “the board” kept opening wait-lists without hiring new therapists/psychiatrist. Reasonably the employees there i talked to weren't happy about any of it, one bit. The therapists were getting 100+ patients. Treatment therefor lacked in all aspects. Obviously accessibility for finding treatment for mental health these days is pretty low. But if you can, find somewhere else. You matter, and you deserve bett...

I've always had for the most part great people working with & for me. The therapist & psychiatrist have been excellent to me right now. I'd recommend them to anyone that really needs good mental health. My current therapist is amazing & knows me like a book!
