i dont even want to give a full explanation because i hate thinking about this place. most traumatic experience of my life. much of the staff was very unwelcoming and it does not EVER feel like a safe environment to improve in. they didnt do one thing to help me with my issues except keep me in a cell around people (men) that continuously made inappropriate comments towards me, my body, and my age (i was 18). i basically had to pretend i was doing better mentally just to get out. i was put in...

I took my son to Nash General Hospital ER in order for him to be admitted to Coastal Plains Hospital Rehab. It took a month and a "village" to get him there. Once he was admitted to the ER, a request was sent to Coastal Plains for his transfer. My son is not only a heroin addict but Bipolar as well. I don't know why Coastal Plains delayed responding but my son was kept in the ER for 18 hours when he decided to walk out! I warned the nurses that the longer they kept him waiting the more likely...

Allison the nurse as well as Jessica were so awesome the were compassionate and caring while my son stayed there recently. Allison went above and beyond. I really wish they would have kept him longer because he truly wasn’t ready to go home he’s already relapsed, but that was the doctors fault.

I was admitted to Coastal Plains after a very serious suicide attempt. I had already spent 3 weeks at Holly Hill and they were horrible. Coastal Plains staff and Nash General were so wonderful. They listened to me, they always had a smile on their face. They are caring and concerned. I had a nurse...Angela that was so nice to me at Nash before I went to Coastal Plains...she was an angel. Thank you Coastal Plains for giving me the correct diagnosis and helping me!

I, Judy Watson tried to talk to my daughter at coastal hospital mental center and I could not, because I was told that my daughter has to call me. She has mental issues and suppose she was about to die and I would never know. I was also told that I needed an ID# an I was never given one. How was Latesha able to call when she is sick? Please someone help me with this issue? I know there are rules and regulations, but come on now I am her mother, and there has got to be another way around this....
