FIRE ARM NIGHTMARE experience here. I got assaulted by another male at the house. The guy fought me because I accidentally drank his Powerade. They said no matter who starts the fight you both get kicked out. I told them to wait until I arrange a car to the airport. They didn’t give me time to even call an Uber. I had a FIRE ARM pointed at me from one of the counselors that work there while I was walking off the property. Everyone is searched prior to entering the rehab and he was about to ki...

I had a FIRE ARM pointed at me from one of the counselors that work there while I was walking off the property. Everyone is searched prior to entering the rehab and he was about to kill a defenseless young man. The counselor was smiling so EVIL while pointing the gun at me. I expected to have to be safe stay there. This rehab is DANGEROUS for anyone to be staying at. If anyone wants they can contact me for a detailed experience about this rehab.

so I was very hesitant even going to rehab and treatment, let alone go online and have to decide with all the treatment options. but I have to thank turning point for being there in my recovery. I definetly wasn't the easiest client to handle but the support staff Hailey was the one who was so easy to share my problems/stories with and she just understood that I was there to change my life for ...

I would not be sober without the support I received when I went to treatment at Turning Point. It was the first time in my life where I learned that people can be compassionate, kind, and caring. The staff here really cares about the clients. The therapists were amazing. After a year sobriety I became staff there so I could inspire others to stay strong like the staff who inspired me. Turning Point has been an integral part of my journey in sobriety. I first went to their residential program in 2018 for 45 days and then integrated to their transitional house for a month. The staff was incredible, helpful and always ready to lend a listening ear. I have relapsed since leaving, but have turned to turning point employees and alumni for help with open arms. They feel like a family to me and I am truly grateful for my experience with them.

I’ve been sober for just under 4 years so I feel like my opinion holds some weight now that I have a clear mind. This has been on my mind since the last time I left TP. I’ve been to rehab 4 times, the first 2 were at Turning Point. Being the only treatment center I had ever attended, I had nothing to compare it to. If I had known, I would’ve never gone there. The entire program is a cash grab, from start to finish. It’s alllll about the money there, not the patients and certainly not keeping ...

It’s alllll about the money there, not the patients and certainly not keeping people sober. They’ve figured out that if you don’t give people the tools they actually need to stay sober, they get repeat customers and more $$$. I’ve seen more of my friends die coming out of that program than literally anywhere else. Including my friend Justin, rest in peace. Their day treatment and IOP programs are the same. Very centered around money, weird personality tests and not at all anything I’ve ever been able to use in my recovery. Dennis was rude & short with people, and intentionally unforgiving of tardiness in order to “refer people to a higher level of care” AKA more money for TP. I was housing insecure when I left treatment the first time, fleeing an abusive relationship. A little bit of flexibility would’ve gone a long way to help me stay sober, but that’s not what they’re about. my therapist told me time & time again that he’d help me figure out some places that could help, or even a scholarship to sober living while I got back on my feet. I had nothing. He never followed through, but instead on the day I was discharged handed me a sheet of paper he had literally googled and printed out. I could’ve done that myself. I still have the paper. I now know of plenty of resources that would’ve been available to me at the time had my therapist cared to even try. Staff is unprofessional and doesn’t manage the facility or clients well, and the only 12 step meeting they’ll take you to is the old timers meeting on Fridays that’s literally 4 grumpy old men, no other women. So no safe sponsorship candidates for women, and definitely not an environment anyone with trauma from men would feel comfortable opening up in. There’s a clear pattern of them not considering women in their decisions, including the second time I attended TP when they only had male therapists. As someone with a lot of trauma from men, it really didn’t work for me and I know I’m not the only woman who would’ve benefited from a female therapist.
**Edited this to add a response to the owner. Reviews are largely based on opinions & experiences. Nowhere in google’s review policies does it state that opinions can’t be posted as part of a review. Failure to consider women in decisions is absolutely an opinion of mine based on my experience there. Reviews are not “facts only” and heavily rely on people’s opinions & experiences. Having not a single female therapist, and not a single meeting that wasn’t all old men was absolutely a failure to consider an entire group of people in treatment & I stand by that.

I personally have tried several treatment centers over my six year addiction to heroin and crack. Turning Point is the only one that has made a lasting impact on my ability to stay clean! They have the most amazing staff, most of who have gone through the house themselves! So, they truly know how to support and guide you!

I went through their residential program at their Bell Canyon house, then to the transitional house (also completing day treatment with them), and now I am about to finish their outpatient program!
When I couldn’t piece together a week or two, sometimes a month or two- I am now over five months clean! I could not have done it without Turning Point and their outstanding staff!
I am so incredibly grateful for their program, different levels of care, knowledge, and all the love they have shown me along the way!
Thank you, TPC! Anyone that is considering going here, my advice is to do it! I used to say “I want to want to be sober” now I can truthfully say “ I want to be sober”!! I will always be grateful for all that Turning Point has done to help me save my life! 💕🙏

I’m extremely grateful I chose to come here. This was my second treatment and I researched several others places. This one stood out and within a day or so I knew I made the right choice.
Wonderful and genuinely caring staff that helped cultivate an exceptionally therapeutic, healing environment. It really made a difference thus far, I currently in their day treatment. I highly recommend this facility to those who ARE serious about their recovery and are willing to work for it.

In my experience many of the negative reviews are for those who blatantly broke rules and were discharged for good reason. The only rules are ones that anyone with common courtesy and sense would follow.
Once again, I had a great and memorable experience at Turning Point’s Bell Canyon location.
