I'm so incredibly thankful for the time, effort, and support these people pour out into these children learning to become respectful men. It's not easy to work through mental and emotional trauma. These people are licensed and trained to handle all aspects with dignity and respect. Yes, I was hesitant at first. I researched it in depth and talked with multiple people before we did paper work. I cannot express my gratefulness enough! Mr. Miller is very patient, and all the camp leader I have ...

At first glance this place seems like a WWll waste land, but its not. Although the restraints can be questionable at times, they are not abusive. Kids fight back, what can you do? They give you 3 meals a day. However, some of the meals can be questionable, they provide nutrition and some of the meals are actually good. You get a shower everyday. You get school an physical activity. The things staff members ask residents to do are not difficult what so ever. All you have to do is listen. This ...

I could not think of a more inhumane place to send your children. They do not properly restrain children here. They put them in chokeholds and slam them to the ground. Every single staff member here is required to be CPI certified yet they never utilize proper CPI skills and instead straight up abuse the children here. The trauma program is an absolute joke. The children that are sent here look like skeletons when they are sent home due to forced physical labor and improper nourishment. Ther...

What a horrible place. When I was forced to be here against my will when all I needed was a good mother I was broken here. Group members would physically assault me and never get in trouble. The group leaders would slam kids on their faces in gravel and on concrete to "restrain" them. Kids get spider bitten and may just get snake bit as well but good luck getting help in the middle of nowhere. Forced labor and horrible weather conditions. Even if it was snow laden the kids are forced to work ...

I absolutely loved this place! I’m W125 I was there at the age 12-13. I’ve benefited so much from the things I’ve learned from this place! I’m 36 now. I don’t get the bad reviews. That’s insane! Probably from parents who enable their children. Timber ridge turns troubled youth into hard working young men that learn how to better deal with everyday situations that come up in life. When I was a child I was very impulsive and because I had no adult guidance I never learned how to deal with my fe...

Please for the love of God if you love & value your children’s’ lives, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!! This is an absolutely disgusting, vile operation who prey off of you & your children for money. There are always other options to get your child the right help they need, this place is not humane!!

i do not recommend sending your kid here if they have runaway issues. my friend got sent here and he ran away twice and they kicked him out. only after him being there for 3 weeks. they kept saying its normal and its just gonna take time for him to settle so we were just waiting and as time gone by our djj worker told us they have been trying to find a new placement for him. we had no idea they were kicking him out or anything. we had to hear it from the djj worker. so no i would definitely f...

I keep seeing all these bad reviews and people saying bad things and i wont lie to u as an old resident i would have agreed with u but now that its been a few years since i left i realize just how much it changed me for the better. I used to think all the work and chores we had to do were dumb and pointlessly cruel but now i can see the lessons behind the things we did. It taught us the meaning of teamwork and taught us that everything we do has consequences whether they be good or bad.
