I had kidney stones and ended up in 5H , a med surg floor and let me tell you what , from the surprise surgery to the food every thing was amazing. The nurses and techs truly made a difference in my life. Their knowledgeable and compassionate care made me heal quickly from the surgery and I felt like I really mattered to them. Maria , John , Joanna and Melissa were the best nurses I've ever had. They took an embarrassing and scary situation and turned it into a pleasant environment that foste...

One nurse stood out of all the many hospital visits. A sweet little female nurse named Sue. She was so kind to us. Like a nurse should be. She made our horrible time seem not so bad. She tended to my daughters needs as if was her own daughter. She went out of her way to make sure her patient is completely happy. Thank you Sue. Our Angel of mercy.

Seeking legal advice!! Only reason I can’t give them negative stars is because they actually have good nurses During surgery Dr. Heald literally “accidentally “ ripped out a stint from my mother’s kidney that was previously placed 5 years ago during a life saving operation. From that point on my mother’s health began to deteriorate. After being home for less than 24 hours she had to be rushed to the hospital with fluid on her lungs. Have you ever had to save a loved one’s life? Prayed with th...

Very VERY great hospital. The staff is ABSOLUTELY amazing here, the food is good, the nurses are great, the doctors are wonderful & actually care about you & check in on you to see how you're feeling. The only thing that wasn't great was none of the nurses were good at doing an IV here. Last time I was there it took 3 people & like 6 pokes, this time, they blew my only good vein really bad! Poked me like 4 times, & it took 2 different people just to get an IV. Lol, which in my opinion is absu...

Had hernia surgery Tuesday the 7th and my team was awesome. Always checked on me, made sure I was comfortable, and didn't leave anything out. Made it super easy to understand the procedure, and explained it step by step for a faster recovery.

I have had far too many horrible experiences at Summa. Seems to get worse every single time. If you want to be treated with respect and dignity, Summa is NOT the place for you. This is actually hard for me to say because I was a RN there for a decade and my husband has been a RN there for 35 years. It's so bad that he's currently applying elsewhere, despite the fact that he'll lose all that seniority. When you treat your patients AND your staff like trash, you've got serious problems. If I co...

I brought my husband into the ER on Friday, 3/29/24 and I have to say the nurses on duty were top-knotch. We have two nurses in our family—one is an ER nurse and one works in the ICU—both at other hospitals. We understand what the nurses and doctors put up with on a daily basis and we have never used the ER as a stat care. When my husband asked me to take him to the ER, I knew he was very ill. The doctor (a female with long dark hair in a ponytail) was rude and condescending to my husband. At...

I have had 3 appointment visits and 1 1-day (outpatient) surgery. I must say from the valet parking attendants to the surgeon and his team it was nothing short of wonderful! Everyone was friendly and accommodating, helpful, and all around great! I highly recommend this hospital and staff to anyone needing help.
