Some of the nurses, like in SICU and the maternity ward, are praised for their attentiveness and care.

The food is surprisingly good for a hospital setting.

Certain doctors, especially in the cardiology unit, have been noted to have good reputations and provide successful outcomes.

Some of the nurses in SICU are nice (Alex is a gem), but this hospital can't handle more “complicated” issues, which is why their ratings are so low. You'd be better off trying a different more established hospital. While they might be able to fix a simple stitch, some of the doctors here seem clueless about other health issues. I can’t believe it. Also on the general floors where the nurses and nursing assistants are they are so loud talking about non-related medical issues. It’s a hospital ...

If you want your wishes to be respected DON'T HAVE YOUR BABY HERE! I've never regretted anything more in my life they ruined my first labor experience for their own agenda & it's so disgusting how much they don't care & will plot to make sure you don't have anything close to the experience you wished for. They purposefully cause you to need medical interventions to justify everything they plan to do next. DO NOT COME HERE TO HAVE YOUR BABY YOU WILL REGRET IT. UPDATE: I was livid at the major...

Well, here we go again with this disastrous hospital. Another family member dies after being admitted to the ER. My mother was admitted with RSV which and her condition worsened over several days. Her breathing became more labored and one of the doctors called us to say our mother wasn't doing so well and that we should come to the hospital as soon as possible. We get there and there she is in the ECU Unit alone in a room. I mean, you can't make this stuff up! This place is the rubber gun squ...

I live in NJ I SHARE OWNERSHIP IN STATEN ISLAND with my family in a home where I’m from. I was in Staten Island when I became sick. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t take beta blockers for heart issues that were warranting them. SI hospital did ! They found a spot on my lung during a routine chest X-ray while in ER. Other physicians stated they see nothing. Yet here I am today after a dexa bone density and followed by a CT. Just might save my life. I want to personally thank the Pros the D...

Horrible psych experience. Checked in with suicidal thoughts. Everything was actually great except for the actual psychiatric help. Doctor's appeared to just want to get rid of me as opposed to any real help. Plus my actual psychiatrist, who is at the hospital, has yet to call me and this happened Thursday night and today is Tuesday. Weaker people would've killed themselves by now, thinking nobody cares. I'm now seeking an extended impatient facility where I'll receive comprehensive care. D...

Nursing staff was absolutely atrocious in the emergency department. First of all, a nurse never introduced herself and just started moving my grandmother’s stretcher around to another location without telling her where she was going. She then later on walked up to my grandmother and didn’t verify name, date of birth, or the drug. Just went up to her and started injecting her with meds. Absolutely no verification of anything whatsoever, which is a major safety issue. I asked to speak to the ch...

Let's start with the positives: the staff at this facility are commendably polite and seem well-intentioned. However, my experience compels me to advise against choosing this hospital for emergency situations, especially concerning elderly patients. My grandmother suffered a stroke and was rushed to their emergency room. Unfortunately, the level of care and attention to detail in diagnosing her condition was profoundly lacking. Upon arrival, no one inquired about her medical history, specifi...

Subject: Concerns Regarding My Son's Care in the Pediatric Unit To Whom this May Concern, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the care my son has received since his admission to the pediatric unit. I am feeling very emotional and have had hardly any sleep in the past 48 hours, so I apologize if my message is a bit disjointed. We arrived at the emergency room around 2 am Thursday morning (5/16), and I was initially informed by the doctor that my son would be admitted if his oxygen...
