I have experienced nothing but the best service here at Honolulu VA. There was one instance with less than pleasant experience but that will not dent rest of the excellent service I have received here. They take very good care of veterans, including me. I prefer VA than any other hospitals.

12+ years as a patient, no complaints. Very good service at the hospital and through the Care in the Community Program. I had one Physical Therapist in the community I didn't care for, I asked the VA coordinator to switch me, they did. I prefer services with the VA to any civilian insurance I've had to date.

I've been here almost 3 years and I have had really great experience at this VA. Initially I had problem enrolling as nobody would ever call me back so I had to go in person, BUT as I established my care things have been good. Women's health and Mental health have been really amazing. Providers are prompt, informative, and they follow up really well. I have only had few bad experiences with community/network providers but not yet with VA providers. Thank you VA PIHCS.

Wonderful VA hospital. Staff is friendly and helpful. Any questions I’ve ever had they have gone above and beyond to help me. Mahalo

Trying for two weeks now to reach my Doctor or Nurse. Call center will only forward call to a voicemail? Left three messages on the module 2 voicemail system and no returned call? Update. Requested new doc. As old doctor and nurse never communicated. Well, it's the same? Doctor ignores your calls and secure messages. They don't care about veterans! They just push meds and if you call them out about meds! They farm you out to the community (which an appointment is about 4 months out) and ...

They were quick to hand me a list of outside dental clinics instead of seeing if it’s something that they could quickly help with. They get paid no matter what so why worry about a Vet’s insurance or rating? If you’re not rated appropriately and if you’re not local you’re better off getting help from a drug dealer for your pain until you can get home or go hunt for civilian clinics that will have pity on you and help you even though you’re not local. Good luck and forget your service!

I had to wait 10 weeks for an appointment and on the morning of my appointment they canceled because the doctor was out of the office and told me there were no openings available and suggested I use a non VA doctor.

People here are really friendly, and they go out of their way to accommodate anyone with specific need, including nursing mothers. Yes!
