Being my first time admitted into a psychiatric hospital I was a tad bit anxious as to what to expect, I knew I needed to be there but unsure of well, the unknown. I was very impressed by the calm and caring staff and atmosphere, and my mind was quickly put at ease. I would like to thank not just the Nursing staff that overlooked my care, but all the staff who treated me respectfully, and was never unwilling to help when I had a question or request, making my stay that much easier to get thro...

Highly recommend! I took my loved one here while they we’re having a psychiatric crisis. They were able to get us seen quickly and everyone I encountered on the phone and in person was friendly and professional. I did read some reviews about people being rude but that was not my experience. I am very thankful for this place. Food was great and my loved one didn’t have any complaints. The facility is secure and they do a great job communicating with care partners and loved ones. They also acce...

I've had many many stays at SMV and have always been given the best care. The nurses are kind, treat you as a person (not just a patient) and truly care about you. I'd like to give a shout-out to Rhonda on EW1 for always going above and beyond for me. They feed you well and often, the food is decent for a hospital, and there's always snacks if you're hungry. There's lots of visiting hours, so it's nice to see loved ones while having to be in the hospital. I hate when my condition warrant...

My mother was admitted to SMV from an ER to the senior behavioral health unit. She was having exacerbation of symptoms. At SMV, my mom’s nurse was Jay. When my confused mother (dementia) arrived, nurses asked us to give them an hour for the admission. My sister and I went home to get my mom warm clothing and toiletries and came back to see our mom after about an hour. When we arrived, mom was panicked, severely confused and disoriented but Jay was standing with my mom therapeutically and pr...

Friendly and amazing staff! Everyone is super friendly even the patients. I'm really glad I came here and got the help that I needed. Best facility to go to. The rooms are very clean. Pretty good amount of privacy surprisingly. But very responsible amazing staff. I'm so grateful for all their help!

I could not recommend this hospital more. I've been here 5 times while figuring out my bipolar medications and during times of crisis. Once when I was pregnant. The nurses here are compassionate and take time to sit and talk with you. Whatever you need, they get you with enthusiasm. Everything from towels to snacks to medication. I've only had one nurse who was not the kindest and she doesn't work there anymore. The outpatient programs (I've done 3) are life transforming and I highly recomme...

The psych ward is a place where nurses try to kill patients. They inject foreign liquids into patients and use dirty needles. They take videos of patients and put it on social media. They served everyone food that was purposely contaminated and had pubic hair. They should be shut down by the medical board and investigated for attempted murder by poison. If you go here you are making a grave mistake .
