Lost my trust in SMHC
1.Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jodi Marshall told me after 25 years of being treated by several doctors at SMHC that the medicine that was prescribed for me should never have been prescribed. 25 YEARS on a medication. She started tapering my meds after my first appointment with her without telling me about side affects of withdrawing.
2. Was never treated properly over the years for CPTSD.

2. Was never treated properly over the years for CPTSD.
3. Was never treated properly for childhood abuse trauma, intergenerational trauma, intimate partner violence.
4. Not enough case management.
5. I have requested my medical records in October and paid for them and have not received but a small portion of them and it is now February. What are they trying to hide?
6. I have made several complaints to complaint department but nothing gets resolved.
7. Ageism is apparent among many of the staff, which is very degrading..
Edited to add... SMHC took months to give me all my mental health records
and they only gave them all to me after I filed a formal complaint with the Office for Civil Rights DHHS. It was only after the complaint was filed, that they found out they were not above the law.

IRRESPONSIBLE!!!!! Providing excessive meds without any requirement to engage in support services. Extreme responses to meds without any concern by SMH. This past year he experienced psychosis due to the meds, that were ultimately evaluated by NHH as being prescribed in extreme doses. We thought our son had developed schizophrenia and in fact it was all due to the over prescribed meds. He did not have any diagnosis as such. He continues to get the meds without any concern for his well being...

Chief Information Officer I've been a client here for close to 20 yrs and multiple psychiatrists and therapists I finally found a psychiatrist Dr Lidstom who is the best. This place, unfortunately is basically a monopoly and you have no choice! I have used there "SUPPORTIVE EMPLOYMENT" program for years also and had great results until this new person in charge TIMOTHY FIFE, the woman that was supposed to be taking my case apparently quit and I was NOT notified by Fife so Timothy Fife couldn't have called me to let me know? Complete lack of respect and courtesy! Whoever is in charge of Seacoast Mental Health should be aware of this and his lack of professionalism and care for clients it's been close to a year since I've heard anything from them! Tim Fife is not doing his job!!! I've been out of work going in 2 whole years and I need the help of their services but I'm being ostracized by the vindictive TIMOTHY FIFE, I need HELP AND HE REFUSES to because of his incompetence I've lost my Medicaid! I'm glad I'm disabled and don't need health insurance!!??!?! There's no excuse for this, he's the head of the department and won't help! This man is getting paid to not do his job! How many others have been left behind because of his incompetence arrogant self serving behavior! I will be filing a formal complaint. No one here has got in touch with me because obviously no one cares except to take your insurance money! Your copays and insurance money are paying this lazy biased person to not do his job, this service is to help people with disabilities to find work and with Tim Fife as the head he uses people's disabilities to get a paycheck! Maybe he's just running some kind of insurance fraud scam!?

I’m under the care of Ellen McFarland, and after seeing an array of people since 2003, I can say that she is the best therapist I’ve ever seen. She is so realistic, talks to me instead of down, and uses my language, instead of quotes from a book. I can change the office environment at anytime. I’ve sat on the floor for an entire session and she’ll sit low as to not break eye contact. She’s absolutely wonderful, with a great sense of humor

This place is horrible! My daughter goes to this agency and I’ve tried contacting her new therapist who goes by “mimi” on multiple occasions and for months! This woman has ignored my calls and has never returned my calls. I dealt with the same thing with my daughter’s previous therapist too. I’ll be contacting the licensing board about this woman. She’s unprofessional, bias and should not be behind a therapist’s desk. I’m fed up with this place beyond belief. I hope she loses her job for bein...

I spent many years being treated at Seacoast. I loved the quality of care I received. The staff actually cares about their patients and doesn't just treat someone as a dollar sign. I spent many years being treated at Seacoast. I loved the quality of care I received. The staff actually cares about their patients and doesn't just treat someone as a dollar sign. They take the time to address your issues so proper treatment can be administered. They take notice of the details. Not just the big picture. I took for granted the mental health care I received while living in NH. Since I moved to FL I have received little to no care at all. I severely miss Seacoast and their care. I wish they could put an office where I live now. I would suggest Seacoast for mental health. They are all friendly and welcoming. There is no judgement. You feel safe there. Never an issue with rescheduling or making an appointment. I put in a lot of time and work as did they, to better my mental health and I have gone so far backwards since moving. Please do not take their services for granted. Once you no longer have access to them you will realize how truly fantastic they are. I would love to go back.
