I was a patient there myself. A nurse told me to not express my feelings of gender disphoria, to hide it from my mother. The same nurse and another cornered me in a doorway while I was having a crying session. A different worker convinced me my mother qas being verbally abuseive. There was a patient there who would often have hallucinations, I had to step in most of the time to get her out of it, the workers not doing anything. A nurse had once left the room saying "I cant handle this". Most ...

Went to visit a 15 year-old family member, he came into the visiting room with at least 10 hickeys and scratches all over his neck from another patient. Not sure how a mental health facility allows for this to happen…but….consider this review before dropping your loved one off here. Apparently they check on all patients “every 15 minutes”…but I’m not so sure about that anymore. I apologize if this reflects onto the staff that is actually doing their job and working to properly help and monito...

Very impressed with how much the staff care! I have received updates around the clock, and have had constant and consistent communication as expected. I have been well informed of everything as it happens. The staff have all been very respectful of my son and our wishes, and really try to see the bigger picture to give to try appreciate treatment and other help needed and tell it to you so that you can better understand. This facility treats all ages, but has a lower number of patient count ...

This place fabricated files lied about me getting into fights in overall is a terrible, horrible experience. I would never go back to.

I stayed at this place in 2015-2016 for almost a month and it was a mess and it was the worst place my mother ever took me to. The staff did not want to listen to the kids and they did not care what you had to say, it was shut up, listen, do as you’re told and you will get to speak to your parents and you won’t be put in a confined room. I would constantly have crying breakdowns do to ptsd and they did nothing but lock me in a room until I stopped or until I fell asleep. It is the one place t...

YES YES YES!! This hospital was amazing. They cared about my needs, they made sure I was comfortable. The teens I was on the unit with made sure I felt comfortable and we're well behaved. I always got my medicine on time, food was amazing. We were always allowed seconds or thirds. My doctor was nice, and same with my therapist. School was easy and laid back, and we went outside almost everyday. I recommend this place completely!! Thank you royal oaks! :)

My son was here for a week. By noon of the 1st day, all of the folks involved in his treatment plan had called me to let me know what was going on. I really appreciated knowing. He then had scheduled meetings throughout the day. We were able to talk with him every evening to see how he was doing (COVID time-no visitors). I really felt all the folks he had contact with tried their hardest to help him.The only weakness might have been school. I sent his school work with him, but he wasn't given...

I am very discouraged and truly believe this place is not worth the stay as they denied kids as a suicidal statement was not enough for admissions as the child did not attempt to take there life. So basically a child has to actually act upon the statement in order to get help. The admission team was extremely unconcerned about the child’s safety. I felt extremely lost in the world of a very broken mental health system…. This place needs a new dr that takes this more seriously!!!
