An absolute nightmare. Mattresses are picked up and placed against the wall which are heavy for seniors to take down. Be prepared to be kicked out of your room at 7 am until 9 at night and locked in a room with people who are screaming or severely ill for 16 hours. Group therapy can consist of a generic word search puzzle and that's it. For 16 hours. The techs spend most of the time on their tablets or phones and seem to hate the patients and their jobs. You can take a look at all of my reviews and see that my negative reviews are few and far between. Take a look at all of the negative reviews here and they should convince you to wait for another option than Ridgeview. When I took my father out 10 days into his stay, we had talked to a Dr. ONE TIME. Over 10 days. When I took my father out, against the "Dr." orders, they refused to give me his records. When I took my father out, against the "Dr." orders, he was a shell of the man he was when he went in. The most likely reason that Ridgeview is such a horrible example of our broken healthcare system is that it was purchased by some kind of private equity group and then gutted to drive up margins. That's likely why there's not enough help, why a "Dr." called one time over 10 days, why nurses repeatedly violated FERPA when we called for any kind of information for my dad. So now, after 10 days of "treatment" and no medical records, we are starting back at day 1 to determine what, exactly, happened before he went in and what, exactly, happened while he was in there. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN HERE.

unclean, discriminates towards lgbtq patients, transgender patients especially. Most of the techs are very mean to the kids, except for a very sweet few. This place was very traumatizing and undid all progress I had previously made on my suicidal thoughts, homocidal thoughts, and hallucinations. I did not receive any kind of counseling, help, or therapy during my time here. On my first night I was mistakenly given razor blades by the staff. I would not send my dog to this place. The first night that I got there they shot me up with something that I was not well with my system or perhaps before . I was ruffled and thrown into a dark cold room by this huge football player looking woman I, guess she was an aid .She brushed the tops and bottom of my hand left hand and back and legs had a black bruise on the inner side of my arm. I was talked down to and treated like a prisoner everyday that I was there. No one should have to endure that much physical and mental pain that I went through. I m still having nightmares about this place , crying my eyes out.My 62-year-old body can not take this kind of abuse. Please do not send a loved one into this fire pit.The nurses seemed to be
Very short tempered as a matter of fact a lot of employees seemed to be that way.My body is still bruised I have to go get some X-rays on my back and chest. That place is ran like a prison.

The nurses and techs were good for the most part. However, I was kept there much longer than I should have been (9 days). I also saw some of the other patients not being taken seriously or getting the immediate attention they needed. My biggest complaint is about when I went to the main office to collect my valuables. The lady at the front desk told me they checked everywhere and could not find them and that they likely got "misplaced" so they continued to search. After waiting an hour I aske...

After waiting an hour I asked her if it was possible if my belongings were given to someone else. She immediately became extremely rude saying "that is not what I told you!". I said I did not say you said that I am asking you a question. After waiting over two hours my dad called Smyrna police and they met us at the main office. When the police show up my belongings "suddenly" appear. Now I find out from may bank that someone tried to use one of my credit cards on 10/16 (I was still there with no access to my belongings) and again on 10/18 (the day I was released). The staff were the only ones who had access to my belongings from 10/10-10/18. It's pretty obvious someone at the facility was trying to use my credit and debit card. It disgusts me that they are trusted with your valuables and then turn around and go through them and attempt to steal from you. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

I was admitted to ridgeview in September of this year and this is the worst place I have ever been to in my life. Jail is better than this place. First off you sit in intake for 11 hours for no one to come get you or even feed you they lie and tell you you will only be there for three to five days the only way you stay shorter is if you don’t have good insurance it’s all about the insurance money. The food is terrible the place is nasty they have bugs the nurses treat you like you are nothing...

The food is terrible the place is nasty they have bugs the nurses treat you like you are nothing and the manager or owner whoever he is the black bald guy is just as rude. The groups that we went to I will say that I like them and the only way I got through was the people that were in there with me. By the third day I just wanted to scream and cry because the place is terrible all they do is drug people and give them cigarette breaks this place does not help if you are dealing with substance abuse or suicidal thoughts please find someone else better cause this place is not it

This place is a prison. The only time we knew what was going on was when we called them. We had to call the first day because noone called to let us know that our son had arrived safely. They also changed his status there to keep him the maximum time without informing us. Then we were informed by an employee that the facility just keeps them there for the insurance money. This was confirmed when my son tlod me that the employees there told him that they get $1000 a day for each person there

Thank you so much Mrs Honor you are the best part about this facility. No mental hospital is gonna be great I mean all these reviews are saying rude things that are true but they would be true for every single other mental hospital as well, this one wasn’t traumatic and wasn’t scary. My favorite tech Mrs honor was the nicest woman I’ve ever met she talked to me about my life and honestly really helped and changed my perspective. She gave me an extra pillow too it was really kind.
