Prisma Health is a not-for-profit medical center, however, their behavioral health unit offers both outpatient and short-term inpatient treatment options to children, adolescents, and adults. Along with 24-hour supervision, clients have access to stabilization, individual therapy, group therapy, art therapy, activity therapy, neuropsychological testing, family programs, play therapy, educational services, medication management, psychoeducational services, coping skill development, and recreational therapy. Clients typically participate in the residential treatment program for about 3-5 days in order to stabilize and detox. Once that is complete, clients are then enrolled into an outpatient program, consisting of services that best address their needs. The number of hours required each week depends on the level of care, the need of the individual, and the services they are participating in, but the overall goal is to progress at the client's pace and provide the support they need throughout this process.
