Voluntarily checked myself in, and it was a horrible experience. I left after 3 days. Everyone was all lumped together, so you have people who are detoxing, violent/angry people, schizophrenic people, and people having a mental health crisis all on the same wing. Therefore, no one really got the care they needed. Most of the staff were great, but they were stretched thin, so it was hard to get help if you needed something. The doctor didn't listen and seemed like he just wanted me to shut up ...

The facility is neat and well kept. The janitors came in everyday to clean every room. The mental health techs were very nice, I wish I could remember their names to give them a shout out. And the Group sessions were very interesting. The staff were very kind but stressed, I could tell they were low staffed and rushed. Although I was bored a lot, I felt safe there and left with some good coping skills.

This experience was stressful and uncoordinated. My son was electrocuted by a light switch and staff didn't notify me or seek medical attention. They did not coordinate the discharge with admission to next place like they were supposed to so now we have a 2 week gap in programming. They did not give meds correctly and did not communicate. They did not send the paperwork home that I requested to make admission to next program smooth. Some of the nursing staff was rude and dismissive.

If I could leave this place less stars, I 100% would. I was here a couple years ago and it was a terrible experience overall. There were a few staff that made the whole experience bearable, but there were also many staff that were rude, dismissive, and overall just didn’t seem to want to have anything to do with the patients. My Type 1 Diabetes was not handled well, no care was provided when I was upset, and the techniques used to “help” felt like they were using just to keep patients under c...

Admitted my husband here. Took 30 hours to get him the suitcase I packed him. It took him hours to get his meds and he never met with the same staff. They didn't give him anything to keep himself clean and the stuff I packed was given to him after he threatened to leave and after several phone calls with me, telling them to at least give him his hygiene products I thought all the reviews were just things that happened to some people, but everyone I've heard go here has had a horrible experien...

I was a self admitted, due depression, anxiety issues. They put me on a high elopement risk. How does on rationalize a self admit to be put in that wing? My Dr. even informed them that a best practice for relaxing was allowing me access to my ebooks and audio books. This was total disregarded and no accommodations made. After visiting the psychiatrist for roughly 20 mins he wanted to change all my meds. I thought that was a bit drastic for a 20 min visit. Basically I didn't feel safe and di...

They do not allow you to say God, even though they are prarie ST JOHN . I was flabbergasted . I believe this place has potential to being one of the better programs you can do.. with that being said I was very surprised at how wrong I was when picking this program. I went and asked for mental health help, and they put me in chemical dependency classes first and then before I could do mental health they told me my insurance wouldn't cover me and told me at 2pm on a Tuesday that I would be lea...

went here for 4 days one of their nights staff tried to get my personal information and asked to hangout outside of prairie. nothing they did helped, you saw a therapist for a total of maybe ten minutes the doctors won’t listen to you and they’ll just give you random meds that in some cases make things worse. they fined me $4,000 just for me to want to kill my self more.
