Virtual programs offer significant value for those fully committed.

Certain staff members like Adrian and Crista are highly supportive.

The military ward has clean rooms, nice staff, and good facilities.

I did the partial day and intensive out patient virtual programs. Not sure it’s a good fit for everyone but it was a perfect fit for me. You get out of programs what you put in. I put it all in and got a ton out of it. Adrian and Crista “saw me” and validated my process. I am incredibly grateful for them and this virtual program.

I didn’t want to write this so soon as I am still sensitive from this experience, but I feel that it must be said. I just spent 4 days at Poplar Springs. I went in voluntarily for suicidal thoughts. My family encouraged me to go because they thought I would be safe and get better there. We were all very wrong. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Being there was the WORST experience of my entire life. The unit I was in was filthy. The unit was overcrowded which resulted in people si...

I went here a couple years ago for suicidal ideation and self harm, I’ve since gotten much better but it was absolutely not from this place, if anything poplar set me back. To sum it up, large majority of staff was extremely disrespectful and treated patients horribly. They make fun of patients, scream at patients, guilt trip patients, purposefully trigger patients, most of the time they’re on their phone eating nice take out while patients get expired food. They don’t just restrain patients ...

Do NOT send your children here. My dad sent me there, mainly for my behavior but also my mental health because at the time I was deeply struggling with depression and anxiety. This place made me feel crazy, I had never been on medication until I was sent there. The medications they had me on made my anxiety worse and the sleeping medication didn’t help due to feeling uncomfortable and scared. The only people who were kind to us were our councilors and some of the nursing staff. One of the d...

I have known my sister to go here when she was a kid. She said it was bad. She won't even talk about it. I have another friend that goes in and out due to his habits or unknown that he doesn't want to do. And he ONLY goes there so he can get medicine!!! But he hates it. The military side looks better than regular people. Everyone deserves the same respect. I hear how they treat people like dogs and they just stand around on their phones. I just watched a video from 15yrs ago about this place....

Originally gave them 3 stars but my TDO got dismissed so they are unable to tell if someone needs to be TDOed or not. Also they refused to put this retired marine in the military unit and they even had the doctors and staff tell this retired marine as well as other patients that I was delusional about being a marine Iraq veteran. STOLEN VALOR. The hospital should not receive federal funds then, nor even state funds. It is clearly a racket that tries to falsely imprison and assault patients an...

My experience with Polar Springs Hospital, unfortunately, necessitates a stark warning to others considering care at this facility, particularly for vulnerable individuals suffering from mental illness. My son has faced not only inadequate care but outright danger within this institution. He has been assaulted several times, with one incident involving punches to the head and jaw: . Patients are denied access to their rooms during daytime hours, severely limiting their ability to rest—a cruc...

Lots of things need to change with this institution but heck there is method to the madness. They know what they need to do and they will improve. But out of all honesty I came out a better person than when I came, even if I was manic about my unjust TDO…yet at the same time I guess this retired marine needed intervention anyhow. Shout out to all the staff and doctors. Sam you have a special place in my heart. Either way, the cafeteria is legit, too legit to quit and filled my belly and my so...
