Overall, a decent experience. Some staff was rude, most I encountered were very nice. My child reports a pleasant experience considering what it was. Staff I spoke with daily always seemed knowledgeable and encouraging. My biggest complaint is that they LOST my childs personal belongings that couldnt be kept with her. I mean, seriously, how do you lose a backpack and a coat?

I stayed here last year short term and it was the worst experience ever. The staff never stopped yelling at us. I thought it wasn’t gonna be bad but bad is an understatement. I’m writing this for anyone considering sending their kids here or coming here themselves. Please consider a different approach. The staff act like they don’t care about us and just make us feel worse. Please don’t send your kids here. Get them therapy but please don’t send them here

As a former patient of this place, don’t send your kids here. I was 14 when I was sent here about 3 years ago. They really don’t care about us. They will drug your kids up with whatever they want and turn them into zombies. Gave me SSRI’s and antipsychotics for suicidal ideation. If you refuse your meds you’ll be kept there longer. they even like threatening you with juvenile detention centers. I wasn’t even suicidal at the time which I told them. The doctors nor therapist cared about anything, and just want you out their office. I have lasting mental damage from the medicine they gave me. The staff are evil cowards and will purposely aggravate the children to entice them to do something bad. Only a few of the staff were actually genuinely kind people, such as Mr. Felix. They just want to make a quick buck off of you then kick your kids out as soon as they can. When I tried to wash my hands, there was poop on the soap dispensers which got on my hands. The food served there was awful, and I even got rotten eggs for breakfast more than once. The staff want you to respect them despite receiving no respect at all. One of the staff members even tried to make me get off the phone when I literally in the process of saying good bye to my family. Turns out that was the last time I got to speak to my grandma before she passed away. Wouldn’t even give me a pillow and my “blanket” was just a thin sheet. Please don’t ever send your kids here unless it’s a last resort I beg of you. This was all just in a week of staying, I pray for the longer term patients that stay there 6 months plus. You’re a terrible person and a failure as parent if you send your child here after reading the reviews. This place is more like a profitable prison than anything else.

This place is TERRIBLE. I was transferred here after being in the actual hospital and nobody gave my mom any information about the place. Which later made her miss visitation day. They let you call home once a day with visitation on Thursdays. The staff told me nothing when I got there so I had to learn from other patients. We weren’t allowed to comfort each other or anything. They gave me schoolwork multiple grades behind what I was doing in school, making me fall behind. The only time they ...

They gave me schoolwork multiple grades behind what I was doing in school, making me fall behind. The only time they asked about your mental health was about every other day when the doctor asked you some questions. Nothing else. I didn't even go to therapy when I went in there. It was terrible. The rooms were freezing and uncomfortable, you had no free access to any water, food was mediocre at best, and everything was just horrible. This place made me worse, mentally draining me. It took me weeks to act okay after getting out of here. Please do not send your kids here, please.

I don't like that some workers are dismissive or rude when I ask questions. I also don't like when I am checking my child in that I am rushed to leave my child. I also don't appreciate a Dr that is not going to be my child's trying to change meds so fast. I understand they need to change but you just met the kid and I don't feel that you could have gained enough information that fast. The front desk people were very helpful and polite, each shift and each person. More clarity for first time p...

The front desk people were very helpful and polite, each shift and each person. More clarity for first time people on clothes would be helpful as well. If you want no zippers, no hoods or such say that or just say sweat shirt. I am still unsure how I feel about the place as a whole. There are things I was frustrated with and things I did appreciate, such as being able to call every night to talk. I just always think there is room for improvement at places.

went here 3 years ago and still think about it to this day. my parents made me go without reading anything about this place. staff sucks and it makes your mental health way worse. parents please just talk to your kid and help them without putting them in a prison. worst experience ever. 0/10 don’t recommend.

This is was the second time my child came to this facility the first time was a great help but this second time was an atrocity! They poorly communicated, I couldn’t speak with a Dr, they weren’t helping with med management, when listening on the phone it almost seemed like employees were antagonizing her, when I went and picked her up because we were no longer comfortable they purposely left me waiting even though they had hours notice, and when I did pick her up she was disgusting I would n...

This is a review written by somebody who was admitted to the hospital.
I stayed there in 2022 in the violence/depressed wing (forgot what the area is called) when I was 17 I did not find much to complain about.
if you treat the staff fine they will treat you fine (just don't be a jerk) and its not a hotel its a mental ward and the goal is to keep you safe from yourself and others. also I liked the food there and when it was 4th of July we had a nice meal of stuff like burgers and hotdogs if y...

and also fast response times when people where doing stuff they were not supposed to do. I still remember each staff member from that facility as it was nice there. though the staff do expect that you have been to one of these types of facilities before so if you have not then you maybe a bit confused at first but its easy to learn.
during events like the dayroom sometimes we had discussions about things like why its important to follow rules in society and what happens if you dont. also we had things like papers we write our goals for the day on. overall I give this place a 4 out of 5, very nice but could use some minor improvements but overall its a very nice place.
also did I mention it has a pool? well it has a pool.
