All I can say is WOW. This place is Awesome 😎. My wife had foot surgery here and the whole experience was perfect. The Staff is Awesome and the care is first class. If you have to travel a little bit to get here do it you will be happy you did. I still can't believe just how awesome this hospital is.

I thought the staff for the most part was great. However, I would like to voice a concern about the case manager supervisor Susan. She was very unprofessional, argumentative and combative when she wouldn't stop making assumptions about my father's income to pay out of the pocket cost. I explained to her many times that paying out of the pocket cost wasn't an issue. She acted like my father retirement savings was her business would not stop talking over me about something that wasn't her conce...

Had a major repair done on upper body by Dr. Matthew Walker. The level of care was phenomenal and so constant throughout the entire operation. From in-take w/ Nurses Deion & Lisa, Anesthesia w/ Dr. Weidl, recovery w/ Nurse Dee, I was in great hands and felt very comfortable throughout. Not nervous at all because of their presence. My partner even received text updates as operations were ongoing. Thank you

Started out good with 2 nurses who hooked me up to the machine and took blood. Waited 3 hrs for anyone to check back. My machine alarmed for 20 mins and no one came to see what was wrong. The new nurse wanted to give me attitude because I was upset at the negligence of the staff. Won't be coming back!

I asked for help and the individual running the desk put his finger in my face and told me to take a seat and wait ten minutes. The waiting room was empty. As I was going to take my seat, he told me to just take a seat again.
So I explained to them how sadistically rude this individual was, and left, because they obviously had no intention of helping me during my darkest hour. I'm dead now

I wanted to give a higher review because the people in auxiliary services who were responsible for performing additional testing that the doctor ordered did a very good job. I wanted to give a higher review because the food was very good which I believe is unusual in a hospital. I know that this is not a hotel that I am reviewing but it's nice when you are sick that the food is good.
This is the reason I cannot give a higher review
This hospital is NOT a SAFE place to be when you are ill.
I was admitted to the emergency room at approximately 7:30 p.m. While talking about my reason for being there I told the nursing personnel that I was a insulin dependent diabetic. I told them because I was sick I had not eaten anything since approximately 12:00 noon but I was told that no food or drink could be given to me until certain tests were completed. Later I was admitted to the hospital and taken to a room. I requested that I received some food at that time and a nurse happily supplied me with a little pre-packaged lunch at approximately 2:30 a.m. I told the nurse that I needed to take insulin before I eat but none was provided. After eating my meal I was able to check my own glucose and see that it was getting quite high. Again I requested insulin from the nursing staff but was not given any for reasons that were never explained. Because I was in a lot of pain from my disability I requested my non-narcotic pain medicine be given to me so that I could rest. The nurse told me that she could not give me my pain medicine nor my insulin because the on-call doctor never put any orders in. After waiting a couple of hours I asked the nursing staff if orders had been placed in my chart yet and was told no. My breakfast came at approximately 7:30 a.m. and again I requested insulin before my meal and was told that no orders had been given yet. I ate my breakfast and luckily for me a physician came in approximately an hour later and said that he would take care of all the orders. I waited but received no insulin and no additional medication. I was starting to feel additionally ill from my high blood sugars but was told nothing could be done at this time. A little while later the doctor came back into my room and told me that he felt that since my test results were negative I could go home and receive additional testing as an outpatient. I told the doctor at that time that I still had not received any insulin or additional medications and I was very uncomfortable. After waiting a couple more hours I became angry and ask the nursing staff why I could not receive medication for my care. At that time I ask the nurse in charge if they could expedite my discharge so I could go home and give myself the proper nursing / medical care that I needed. I started preparing myself to go home AMA when the doctor and nurse reappeared and told me that my discharge was in the process. Because I had repeatedly insisted that my glucose be checked The nurse had insulin with her as well as other medication. I was packed and ready to leave and the nurse kindly expedited my discharge the way I had requested earlier. During the 9th hours that I stayed at this hospital I received one dose of insulin (normally I would have received at least five shots of different insulin) and one dose of my non-narcotic paid medication. When the doctor inquired what was happening the nurse told him that because the pharmacist was by himself and handling the request for two hospitals that they had to wait for him / her to approve my receiving my medication. If the nurse had explained this to me earlier at least I would have felt that somebody gave a crap what was going on with me and not just ignoring me thank God

Went to the emergency room at Henrico Doctors Parham because my daughter was experiencing some severe pain. After speaking with the ER doctor I wanted her to be admitted and I was told the hospital denied it. They didn't think her case warrant her to stay. This girl has been to the emergency room five times since November due to the pain. She has been seen by a specialist and no one can find the problem but the hospital didn't think her condition warrant admitting. Admitting her would have a...

This girl has been to the emergency room five times since November due to the pain. She has been seen by a specialist and no one can find the problem but the hospital didn't think her condition warrant admitting. Admitting her would have allowed them to evaluate and monitor when the pain comes and go and also for a proper evaluation by a specialist. I don't know was it the color of our skin is to why they didn't think she was sick enough, or that I didn't know people in high places. I would like to understand how someone can say someone's situation is not serious enough to be admitted into the hospital. Wow!

Do not ever take your loved ones to Parham health mental health and wellness. They will flat out trick them and lie and say you have to stay there for longer period of time unless you volunteer which you can get out earlier 💯 they will push pills on them that their doctors do not prescribe in order to keep them in a certain state of mind. I know this 100% because some of the people used to work there have told me. I unfortunately have a family member that is also gone through the same. 😪 The...

I know this 100% because some of the people used to work there have told me. I unfortunately have a family member that is also gone through the same. 😪 The only business that they're in is to milk the patients insurance. They will use the laws against the patient to force them to get there even if they have a better program and better counselors personally. They would never reach out to the counselors that knew the patient. They decided that they wanted to force the patient and trick them into signing over their rights. Which is 100% illegal it's against the law and is fraud. The people at this facility HCA needs to be held accountable 💯 they are the reasoning behind CPOM doctrine🤯🤯🤯
