If I could give this terrible facility zero stars I would. I have no idea how this place is still even in operation. Please never take your loved ones to this facility because they will not be cared for. My dad has Alzheimer’s and was sent to this hospital for a short period of time. In the few weeks he resided here he was treated extremely poorly by staff, nurses and doctors. Calling the facility to talk to him was nearly impossible and we were never able to ever get an update on how my dad was doing. We were constantly leaving messages for someone to call us back who never did. Finally when we were able to transfer my father out of this terrible place, they transferred him without notifying the new facilty they were on their way for starters. Next, all of the medications and clothes my dad had were not transferred with him nor does any of the staff members know where his belongings are which makes us believe that when we originally took his things to him that the staff never gave him his own clothes. Just an absolute horrible facility. I hope to God I never have to have dealings with this facility ever again. Staff, nurses and doctors have no business caring for anyone loved ones in that place. I hope one day this facility closes for good so no one else ever has to go through the horrible treatment they provide their patients.

I just got out of this place yesterday. I would give no stars at all if it weren’t for a select few workers that actually cared about the patients. To name a couple, Lincoln, Derek, Priscilla, Eric and Lou were absolutely incredible and they always made us feel safe and heard. Otherwise, the staff was rude and acted like they couldn’t care less what happened to us. I was there for 6 days and never spoke to a doctor. There were no therapists to talk to either and the “group” therapy was kind of a joke. The group workers were really nice but the activities made me feel like I was a child not an adult asking for help. We sat around with nothing to do all day. Most patients would just roam the hall back and forth. The beds were so uncomfortable and the blankets were thin and rough so you could never get good sleep. Workers would have a whole party at night and wake us up. They would turn on the lights in our rooms in the middle of the night and “forget” to turn them off. The whole facility was ice cold so if you didn’t have warm clothes you were screwed. The food was edible but still pretty gross. Families would call to speak to loved ones and the staff never told us. There was only one phone and call times were limited. You literally lie and say you feel better so you can get the hell out. I could go on and on. Please just don’t send your loved ones here it’s more of a prison than a place to heal.

I was admitted here after attempting suicide two days earlier. I had never been to an inpatient facility before but I had hopes that I'd receive the therapy/diagnosis that I needed. I did not. I waited for 45 minutes in a small room in admissions before being taken back to the ABU. I was then put in a chair right in front of the nurses station where all of the patients were waiting for their evening medication and I sat there for over an hour shaking the whole time as the nurse walked past me several times before fully admitting me. I have severe social anxiety and was already feeling very upset that I was there in the first place so this exacerbated what I was feeling.
I arrived here on a Thursday night and left on Wednesday morning. The entire time I was here, I never once received any type of one on one therapy/treatment. I was examined one time physically.
The group therapy was mediocre and very short. About 30 minutes 3 times a day if you're lucky. Many of the group sessions were just us sitting around and picking songs to play on a Bluetooth speaker. We weren't allowed outside unless it was for smoke breaks, but I don't smoke and didn't want to be exposed to secondhand smoke so I had to stay inside.
A lot of the group sessions had little to no effort put into them. We had repeat sessions while I was there. We were also offered a craft to do for one of the sessions, and upon researching this hospital after getting out, I found the same craft that we did was used 4 years ago. So they don't even progress in how they interact with the patients.
The staff here was mostly rude and unprofessional. One staff member seen picking their nose, and staff constantly complaining about their job saying they can't wait to go home meanwhile there's patients there who want nothing more than to go home but simply can't. Verbal abuse was very common here from the staff, including a staff member mentioning becoming violent to another patient. A woman kept asking him the same question and he yelled at her to stop bothering him and when she walked away stated it "has been a long time since I put my hands on someone."
I also heard a staff member screaming at a patient early in the morning.
There was a patient that was there the majority of my stay that constantly caused problems and nothing was done about it. She would constantly lie about people threatening her, and would start screaming over very small things. She made the stay harder for everyone there and nothing was done about it. We were simply told to go to our rooms if it bothered us.
Almost every smoke break I was offered a cigarette from the community pack by the staff. I'm under 21 and once again don't smoke. I find it ridiculous that anyone over the age of 18 can go in there and pick up a bad habit like that.
The food here was unhealthy, and the cafeteria was dirty. You would walk in and loud music would be playing, which could be overstimulating/triggering for some patients. Another patient slipped on a spilled drink, and when we came back the next day, the spill was still there.
I heard another patient yell that they found a bedbug in their room. I never saw one, but I wouldn't put it past them.
I wasn't allowed any of my basic toiletries like my hairbrush or toothbrush. only my clothes and a book.
Ultimately, this place did not help me. All they did was inform me of issues I already knew or suspected I had, but provided no actual psychiatric care for me. They simply held me for a few days then sent me home because I was "future oriented." Everyone was bored all day only looking forward to meals and smoke breaks. many patients slept to pass the time including myself. It felt like a nursing home mixed with a prison. Visiting time was one hour at different times everyday which made visiting complicated. You could only have two visitors at a time, and parents could not visit with their young children. There was no cellphone time at all, so you had absolutely no connection with the outside world except for one old phone that we all shared.
Please don't go here.

Glad they've away from there so they can get REAL care.

Nobody cleans, as you're not allowed to. Every once in awhile a janitor will come around collect trash and push around caked up dirt with a nasty smelly mop. So it's zero stars for me, and again, don't go here.

I was hired 01/2024 as a business office coordinator (HIGH TURN OVER) and let me tell you, I was only there for a month before I was fired for speaking up about the BAIT & SWITCH that was pulled on me. The collection training was hilarious, the BOD is too busy to train you where you are actually hands on. She had a temper, condescending tone and did not care about employee safety, states “you have experience figure it out! ; We do not work on fear”. Do not let her overly fake personality fool you bc it’s not real 🤣. The CFO does not greet anyone, off/uncomfortable vibes. They are desperate for results and will not allow you to be new and get comfortable with the position. They had me signed up for 2 1/2 jobs (collector, biller, and going on the floors to collect when the financial counselor is not there) for 1 pay which was not even worth it (50k) and I did not sign up for that. If you want job security do not apply to that position. BOD does not have conflict resolution skills, will have you dealing with HR even if you fart. My favorite saying of hers was “WE ARE LIKE FAMILY” the ultimate 🚩, they have no boundaries, jealousy I can’t help I’m beautiful and take good care of myself. Do not put in your two weeks notice at your current job, instead take vacation time from your current job and tryout the position. Oh! Ask for the top of the salary range pay, because once you get in there, you will see why.

I was admitted to OHP in the beginning of February 2023 after an attempt. At first it seemed like it would be a decent place but I spent 6 days here and had a different opinion when I left. The techs that watched us weren't terrible but the nurses were pretty awful. The first night I was there they tried to give me medication they had not previously spoke to me about and when I asked what it was the nurse looked at me and said "you take this every day", I just got there that morning. I seen a nurse get frustrated with a patient because he wanted a bandage for a wound he had on his hand, she said "why is it my problem if he had it before he came in." Unbelievable. The cafeteria had mold on the ceilings. The only therapy we did was in the mornings for 45 minutes and it was arts and crafts basically. The woman that led the group sessions was one of the best people there, spoke briefly about coping skills and mindfulness, she's the only reason why I'm giving 2 stars. When I was discharged they didn't really go over anything with me about my diagnosis or medications. Just made me sign the papers. When I called back after I went home I wanted explanations of what they wrote down and no one ever got back to me. My therapist I went back to when I left said she wouldn't recommend this place either, but they did one thing and that was keep me safe from harming myself.
