I went here 3-4 years ago and they treated their patients at that time with little to no respect. They did this based on the automatic assumption that we were all psychotic. It was my first facility experience and I was only 12. I felt like I WAS insane when treated that way and it only furthered my disassociation. Compared to Gulfport behavioral, it felt like a prison. Where at Gulfport, you get to actually exit the main building and go somewhere else, we didn't do much besides sitting in the same building and going outside in a small backyard area where we'd do sports. Most of my time was spent inside and we'd watch movies and play games. I also didn't get much help when it came to my chapped lips or my problems. I felt scared to talk about my problems in fact because I'd see the nurse in a small room that was dark and it felt like I had no room to breathe. As for my chapped lips; I was there for the minimum amount of time, three days, and I left the place with a red ring around my lips and them burning. At Gulfport, they administered a chap stick for their patients that you would put in your shower bag and would be allowed to grab if you needed it, but under the watchful eye where you'd be made sure you put it away. The only positive thing I can say about Oceans, from my experience, was that they had more options for dietary restrictions than Gulfport. And for the outpatient, it was awful, they told me I faked depression, which is not true, I go through depressive episodes that could cause me to self destruct relationships or harm myself. And trying to kill yourelf is a sign of depression, according to my counselor. My visit to both inpatient and outpatient still remains in my head and I can't shake away. I never want to go back there and have heard bad reviews from others who I know who have gone there.

If you are a Christian do not go to their out patient therapy. The councilor told everyone to yell f__k it out loud to relieve stress. There program is out of control. The last straw for me was the x rated movie she showed in a room full of unstable men and women. I do not recommend this place. I lost my Mom and needed some help getting through it. I did not receive what I needed.

If I would’ve known about how much sensitivity training their nursing assistants were in desperate need of;
and if the primary hospital that sent me there wasn’t already packed I never would’ve allowed myself to be trafficked into the place.
It’s unfortunate that I was roughhoused while having a panic attack by worker’s who had only helped to exasperate the episode.
I don’t think my words are being spoken as abrasively as the encounter really was to be fair.about the whole matter.
Otherwise ...

Otherwise the rest of the staff was professional, and I hope they have been forewarned that they would be better served to not have their names attached to such treatment as those two assistants.

I'm not a person that would leave reviews but this place needs to get it together for the sake of our love ones lives.
There is a big lack of communication with the Staff and management at Oceans Behavior Health. I left multiple messages for social work. 1 with nursing staff and several voice mails.
I was told by Administration that the voice mail doesn't get checked. Therefore I wouldn't get a call back.
I ask why have voice mail then? Administration states it's part of the system. Wow!

My family has left messages to speak to Cliff and still no call back. It appears his calls are screened by his staff.
Very concerned family,

Hospital was clean , the nursing assistants threatened to punch me because I was having a panic attack,
I had done nothing wrong to deserve to be threatened by violence.
Don’t send your loved ones there.

If you come to the facility and you see Dr. Raush…..beware. As an person who has been in the military for 22 years and hit their limit, I did not feel safe with this provider. I felt judged, humiliated, and definitely not seen. I have never experiences the blatant microaggressive laced with undertone racial/sexist comments. One of my peers recommended this facility but warned me about seeing him. He did not disappoint and he failed to document the truth in my note. He said that I was s...

I felt judged, humiliated, and definitely not seen. I have never experiences the blatant microaggressive laced with undertone racial/sexist comments. One of my peers recommended this facility but warned me about seeing him. He did not disappoint and he failed to document the truth in my note. He said that I was suicidal when I told him that I have trauma from things I’ve encountered in the military and I need to address them. This man continues to cause harm to patients and the facility sweeps it under the rug. This man needs to be fired or this facility will plummet. This matter needs to be investigated by the Intensive Outpatient Program CEO. This man is doing more harm than good.

When my LO was referred here I was scared to death after reading the reviews. My first impression was not very good but after we got her admitted it has been such a blessing. She has been well cared for and Dr. Callepeper and his whole team have been so attentive, caring, and honest. We have been to many facilities and this is by far the best. So please don't base your decisions completely on the bad reviews on this one because this has been the most helpful facility and doctor we have eve...

Had a horriffic stay during 2021 after self admitting. Don't even entertain the thought of staying here unless you want to be traumatized. This is just one example of how they wronged me. I was dragged across the hall and pinned down in a bed by four nurses, they proceeded to tranqualize my arm because I was having a panic attack. Before this I was cornered and screamed at by a much older man who told me I was weak and 'scaring everyone' for wanting to go home after 5 days of hell. I was once...

I was once again dragged to the 'isolation room' to sleep. I begged the staff to get my newly purchased retainer out of my room while they laughed at me and mocked me as the tranqualizer set in. Disgusting repulsive behavior, everyone who works here should be ashamed and I mean that with all of my heart. Do not stay here unless you want to be treated like an animal.
