Well things have changed at Oaklawn in south bend. I’ve been assigned a new physician Dr. Platt. I haven’t seen him yet but his nurse has been very helpful. She called me and said that Dr. Platt prescribed something to get me through until my appointment. He was not so selfish with prescribing me something to get me throughout this waiting period. I am very grateful and have to withdraw my last report

Two things I've heard while trying to better myself with this institution: 1. "You've already tried all the therapy we provide, and I'm not sure anything we can offer that will help." 2. "Since you missed your intake appointment by ten minutes, we will have to reschedule you out for a couple of months." This happened four times while seeking help for my inability to organize myself and make appointments.

My roommate/client has been going to Oaklawn for atleast 5 years. I've gone with him several times and all they do is write him.refills for his meds. I asked if they could get him into counseling With a psychiatrist. And the nurse practioner who refills his meds called me at home and basically told me to mind my own business and she didn't think he needed therapy. My friend/ client lives with me And is diagnosed by Oaklawn as Schizophrenic. He's attacked me repeatedly, tears up my home and m...

This place is terrible. It’s only for individuals who are forced to come here for court orders. Coming to Oaklawn on your own accord is a mistake. DO NOT GO TO OAKLAWN FOR MENTAL HEALTH.

I have a lot of good things to say about this place. I've been coming here since I was a young boy going into my teenage years and I'm still going now as a adult now. The environment here is love and care for what you come in here to get treated or help with. I've never had a bad experience here and always been respected and cared for beyond what these professional people can do. I love this place for support and truly appreciate and respect everyone here helping us with battles of everyday l...

Update if you care at all about your well-being this is NOT the place to go. Therapist will discriminate because you are poor. Mine did ..Her Name Sarah ... if you have her as a Therapist you better not be poor, n you better have a ride or she will drop you. Her friend boss Emily called me with no resolution. They have blood on their hands. Cause if they are doing this to me they are doing this to other people and that's not healing. This place is very much the problem. not a solution I hope...

Their peer recovery team is full of rockstars! They work around the clock meeting people where they’re at and holding them accountable in their recovery journey. They will also work quickly to get those in need into inpatient treatment. Love this team!

Shane doesn’t answer texts or calls. It’s his only job. To help people like me. I have never in my life been a part of such a dereliction of duty. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to my worst enemy.
