The surgery teams were fantastic. Made me feel at ease and made the process a breeze!
Registration and the lab also did great getting me prepped days before. No complaints at all. Friendly staff all around.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I walked in at 1pm 01/24/24 with lower abdominal pain. Triage and CT scan were done very quickly. However that's where their speed ends. I sat in the waiting room until 6pm before I was even registered. By 6:45pm I was done. I asked to sign out a.m.a. They obviously aren't worried so why should I be. Signed the papers and they had a nurse come out to remove my iv. She didn't loosen the tape just ripped it right out of my arm. If I could figure out ...

There was blood dripping down my arm. That definitely shouldn't happen. Worst experience I've ever had at a hospital.

Went to the ER .I was having an irregular heartbeat and felt weak and faint. Triage got me back fast. Initially the doctors and nurses were great. They explained my Potassium was low and that that could cause the arrhythmia. The nurse told me the potassium could cause burning. After the first infusion the pain became unbearable. Excruciating. When I told the charge nurse she said I had to finish the treatment. I told her the pain was unbearable and she became sarcastic and abusive. At no poi...

At no point did she seem to remember the patient’s right to refuse treatment. I will never go to Clark again . I would not recommend them to anyone.

Took my son here 10/17 - the nurses and PA were great! I was really hesitant in going here with all the negative feedback - but had a great experience under awful circumstances. The staff there deserves so much recognition for being attentive and caring. Have patience for them. They work so hard. Thank you for taking care of my boy!

Clark Memorial is a terrible place to receive medical attention. I miscarried twins and they showed very little sympathy and care. Plus the 4 hours in the waiting room while I could hardly stand. I went to the U of L Health center and was seen immediately (within 10 minutes of signing in) and the doctors were amazing.

I am a huge huge fan of my general practitioner at Spring Hill. I’ve even worked at Clark and they have employed family members. But I recently have been absolutely jerked around and lied to by them. First, they did a breast biopsy that they messed up, biopsying the wrong spot. They told me “we may have to biopsy again” but when I was called and given my results I was told — and I asked outright — that there was no mention of a second biopsy. Weeks later I get a call and they tell me, whoops, you do need a second biopsy. Meanwhile, the doctor who did my failed biopsy is no longer with them, and Clark has taken $2400 of my money for the procedure, which did NOT cost that much — I was billed for the procedure AGAIN recently to the actual tune of $600 or so, so not only did they charge me too much, they’re not even reflecting the $2400 I paid. Their reasoning? “Well your deductible was $3000 and you hadn’t met it!” Excuse me, since when does my deductible have anything to do with the PRICE of the service I’m receiving? You don’t charge for the entire deductible for something that doesn’t cost close to that amount, then refuse to give back the money when a) the charged amount was wrong and b) I shouldn’t have to pay for their screw up in the first place. I would only need ONE biopsy if they had done it right. They told me that because the doctor had informed me about the second biopsy when they did the first one and I agreed, I couldn’t have my money back for the failed procedure. I’m sorry, the doctor told me I MAY have to have a biopsy, and then another doctor told me I didn’t have to worry about a second biopsy. How is that supposed to add up to “we told you you were definitely getting a second biopsy and you agreed”? I wanted a second opinion when told they screwed up the first biopsy — I would NOT have agreed to it right away. Now I’m back at square one, going elsewhere to get a mammogram and biopsy because I am absolutely not giving Clark Memorial Hospital my business anymore. I want my money back, and I want people to know (and I used to work in billing with the physicians group, and was treated terribly by the totalitarian manager — I can attest it’s a mess) not to trust that Clark is billing you the right amount. Get clarity on what you’re paying, because they will clearly wring you dry.
