Just leaving this review so I can finally get someone to acknowledge how absolutely bizarre a picture in the office is. I can't imagine anyone in the world wanting this photo taken of them, horrible angle and way too close, and hanging in a doctors office? It honestly feels like a creep took this photo and it was accidentally printed and put on the wall with the sunsets?? This is insanity. I am begging someone in this building to see reason. Loss of star only bc of a few staff who have been u...

Updating because Rich in Behavioral Health deserves a raise 🏆*updated because Rich is gone and I have to bypass all reception to email my doctor because the behavioral health replacement for Rich is proof this is the worst timeline. Tried reaching out to "quality" and found that to be even worse. Clearly needs a new director/overseer of operations because the behavioral health area is flatlining on its best days.

Went in for a preventive care check up and was charged $288 despite providing insurance information.
Been on the phone on and off with them and my insurance company for over a year trying to get it reimbursed.
Mid State just refuses to fax over what’s needed to the insurance company for me to get reimbursed despite multiple calls where they said they would.
Not sure if it’s incompetence or just not caring enough but this continues to be an awful experience.
P.s. they also didn’t share the...

P.s. they also didn’t share the blood work forms they promised they would as a follow up to my appointment.
All in all a 0/10 experience.

Love my provider and some nurses are great but there's no follow through. My insurance company and other physicians have tried to reach out to them and no one returns calls. My other Dr's have no info on me because once they send my referal, that's it! I've asked to speak to an office manager and was refused. This is medical neglect!

Really disappointed and upset. Their patient portal is a joke because results apparently don’t get uploaded automatically. Did blood work at the very end of Sept that came back with bad results. I thought the results were good, because the message started off with, “The test results were normal…”, which I admit that part was my fault, because I didn’t open it to read the entire thing (just read what I saw, not thinking that it would be followed by “except…”). Obviously I was wrong (which is on me), but I really thought the results were normal. I’m not the first patient to misunderstand or be wrong about something, and I won’t be the last. However, what REALLY upsets me is that I went back 36 days later complaining of issues that obviously could correlate to the poor blood test results, and yet the provider didn’t mention I had bad blood work a month before. The provider also didn’t mention that my primary had ordered the blood work be repeated and that it hadn’t been done yet. I could have done it that day! I only found out that I had this bad bloodwork last week when I came across an old message on their online portal. 6 MONTHS LATER. Of course the actual blood test results weren’t available in their portal, which makes you wonder what the point of the portal is, if not for patients to get results (and if the results had been there for me to view I would have realized a lot sooner). When I asked them why that provider hadn’t bothered to mention either of those things, I was told that it was because that provider wasn’t my primary. How infuriating, especially when the results could indicate a serious problem! If your doctor has ordered blood work that hasn’t been completed yet, how the hell are other providers allowed to just ignore it and not mention it to you. From a healthcare perspective it seems like the perfect time to do it, while the patient is in the office! FYI: when you call to make a same-day appointment and the receptionist says it doesn’t matter which provider you see, because they are all part of a team, just know they are absolutely LYING. You could be on death’s door with life saving orders from your primary, but if you see another provider apparently they just DGAF and are completely off the hook when it comes to doing their job, because they aren’t your primary. Also, ALWAYS get an actual copy of your bloodwork and read it yourself, don’t just believe what they tell you, because it may not be the full picture. I sure wish I had. I typically always read my own blood work, but the one time I tried to check on the portal there was nothing there. No blood work results, no visit summaries, no health records of any kind, except for one appointment from 2021! I guess they just gave up entirely on the portal records for the past 3 years. When I finally got them to send my bloodwork to me through the portal (after I figured out the results weren’t normal), they didn’t bother to send me all of the bloodwork from that day, just part of it, what a joke. I didn’t get the rest of the blood work until I called complaining that they didn’t do all the tests, only to find out that they did, they just hadn’t bothered to send it over with the other results. For F*ck’s Sake! It’s a good thing they are just a doctors’ office and not an ER, because all the patients would be dead!
-You can really see how the place has gone downhill recently from the reviews; the most recent reviews from the past 6 months are all 1-star, but the 20 reviews previous to that are all 5-Star reviews.

This place should be shut down. Unethical practitioners, unethical practices. Practitioners here have repeatedly made me feel incredibly unsafe and unwelcome. Not a safe place for anyone with a diverse identity or chronic condition. Avoid at all costs! Truly awful and truly creating harm. Kristin Craig in particular should be avoided and let it be known that she crosses professional boundaries and discriminates against folks living with chronic conditions. If it wasn’t so byzantine to complain to the medical board in this state, I would do that too.

Awful. Appointments repeatedly are canceled or scheduled incorrectly. The practitioners are good but the rest of the staff are unbelievably inept

I have been receiving OT at Mid-State Health Center with Pam Hixson for the past month plus, after hand surgery. Pam is knowledgeable, on-time, patient with my myriad of questions, listens to my issues and is great at coming up with solutions that work. I am very pleased with the progress that I am making, which is largely due to the excellent care I receive at Pam's hands.
