Not only does Mid Coast Hospital's Addiction Resource Center provide comprehensive and confidential mental health services and treatment for substance abuse, but they also accept walk-ins during business hours which increases access to clients in the surrounding area who need immediate help. Their treatment program allows for the customization of services. Clients have access to individual therapy, professional assessments and testing, medication assistance, group therapies, family programs, and more depending on their needs. To stabilize withdrawal and minimize cravings, clients may be offered medication-assisted treatment through Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Naltrexone. Clients struggling with dual diagnosis mental health disorders may also participate in electroconvulsive therapy and medication management.
