Yes, they say if you are serious about getting your life back. If you are not ready yet. Still go! The HOU saved my life . I was there 18 months. I arrived with nothing but the clothes on my back. The counselors, the way they lead you alouing you to move and except things on your own. Today I have my life back. I'm. TP.HEARN you better ask somebody.

I went to Uhuru in 2018. I was accepted in an RBH which helped me get on my feet. I Did 5 1/2 months inpatient and about 7 months outpatient. I was able to get some of my kids back, I have my own apartment and my own car and a job now. I started out with two bags and $.50 when I walked in the door and I thank God I think my family my supporters and especially the house you are from where I'm at today.this year would be four years clean

We competed an intake on the phone and we’re told that the individual could get a bed when he came the following day. When we arrived, a counselor there was very rude and aggressive toward the individual. The client was listening to music to calm down and the counselor asked him to take off his headphones and do what he’s told. When asked if he could be more patient and calm, he said the individual was not a good fit for the program because he couldn’t follow directions and was too immature.

The counselors are aggressive, rude, abusive and incompetent. The facility is infested with roaches, rats and mice. Counselors physically and verbally attack the clients. Supervisors look up their clients professional status (which is not part of the txp). Speaking of treatment today plan, there is no real treatment plans. The facility is nasty, old and unclean.

Has to be the most fake program. The clinical supervisor openly outed me and gave up HIPAA information and threatens to beat patients! She stole money and steals EBT cards! She charges patients over $100 to do their hair and then takes their EBT cards if they don’t pay her or threatens them with bad court reports. It’s the most unethical place ever!

Staff this location can be somewhat disorganized, quite chaotic, and unprofessional at times however their hearts are in it. You won't get the typical response when you call in and if there's a bed they're not going to put you through the paces just to prove yourself. they're there to help and they understand addiction, homelessness, and alternative sentencing.

HOU helped me in my recovery, I completed 90 days and they made sure I was accepted to an RBH before letting me leave there facility, staff is very professional and went over and beyond to make sure i was well taken care of as far as getting my appointments and things that needed to be done, and also the proper groups and counseling sessions that where needed, I will forever thank them and stay connected.
