Overall an amazing experience! Stuff has been accommodating As much as possible. Having a child that's in a facility Is hard. Although I wish I could have more contact with my child. I understand that their main focus is their Mental health. Staff has made it very clear I am more Then welcome to call them in any time to check on my child's status. They are strict which I can also appreciate because Anyone with mental health issues requires structure. The staff was accepting and kind. It's pro...

I was a patient here awhile ago, and due to my insurance not being accepted at UAB I was brought to Hillcrest where my insurance was accepted. I honestly did not want to be here. Though who really does? I wasn't really there to 'get on meds', more so to figure out a treatment plan by working with a therapist and the gentleman therapist there was able to bring out some emotions and I cried, and was grateful that I was in a secure setting to allow me to deal with such emotions. I do appreciate ...

My daughter received good care. However, I was lied to twice about receiving her 14 day discharge medications. I was told at the time of discharge that someone from the facility would bring the medications to my home due to delays. I called later to confirm that they would do as promised. I was told the person was on their way. No one showed up. Not even a call. Thank God the provider sent prescriptions to the pharmacy, I was able to give my daughter her medications on schedule. But I am very...

honestly barely remember too much besides being drugged out and scared. staff and nurses would scream and cuss at you for dozing off in the day room, needing to go to the bathroom, whispering to your roommate after lights out despite the many patients with insomnia. i begged the doctor to let me go home while sobbing in front of him and he told me he wanted me to stay with no reason as to why. they were not accomadating at all for food when i have terrible sensory issues and i lost 5 pounds a...

I have not been here. Looking for someone help. It won't be here. I noticed a truth telling telljust reading the reviews. Those who gave a good review were given a good thank you happy comment from staff back. But if u notice that those crevices that were bad and traumatic were responded back to with a standard blah blah blah. Every one.which means that they do not intend to improve or look into or acknowledge any trauma or abuse they caused. At a MENTAL HEALTH facility. Makes me wonder how i...

I was here for about a year during COVID. This place has the best food and you can really put on weight if you’re not working out. Other than that the staff is exceptional and takes the time to know each patient. They were instrumental in helping regain connections with family. They have classes all day so you stay busy and they have a high standard for medical care. They helped me figure out what dosage and medication worked best before I left and it’s been a world of difference since. Reall...

I have been avoiding anything about this place due to the trauma it caused. Me and a couple of friends were there in 2019. The place was literal hell. Do not send anyone there if you actually care about them. I still have issues I refuse to discuss. Now there were a couple of decent staff that tried to make it better, however the flat out evil ones outnumbered them drastically. The part that passes me off most about this place is the fact that it is still open.
