My father came here due to mental health on Thursday 2/22/24. I have called multiple times and have been treated so badly from the nurses. My dad called me crying and saying they are abusing him here and he feels like it’s prison. The nurses here need to be held accountable. They over medicated him and he’s overdosed. I drove 45 mins at 11pm at night to see what is going on with him because they hang up on the phone on family members who are sick to their stomach for their loved ones. The “ch...

The “charge nurse/supervisor” came out to talk to me and could not answer a single question due to his health or condition. I will be filing a complaint with the department of health, HIPPA, and a lawsuit for malpractice and negligence. I am currently waiting for the police to show up to do a welfare check on him due to the circumstances. If you love your loved ones don’t bring them here. Please. This place will make
Them worse before even getting better. They will get abused. See the other comments, this place will get shut down and I will make sure justice is served for all the poor other people who have been mistreated. This place SHOULD BE AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN. This is so inhumane.

Was held here for four days. Never was given the option to go outside. Never was given the option to go to the cafeteria. Was not told that my hold was extended or how long I would be staying (which I believe violates my patient rights). There were at most two 45 minute processing sessions a day. Otherwise, there was no therapy. The hospital focused solely on medicine. The psychiatrist would wake me up early in the morning in order to talk to me. The activity books my mom brought me were stolen the day after she brought them and were never recovered. A man wandered into my room multiple times during the day and night. All they could do was move me to a different room because “he’s confused”. This was only done on my last day there despite me asking since day 1 for a room change. The doors to our rooms were open 24/7 so anyone could go in anyone’s room. The nurses/floor staff clearly don’t care. I would ask them for an ibuprofen because I was on my period and they would sigh and grumble and never give it to me. If I showed any emotion other than happiness or crying silently, they could use that against me and make me stay longer. My dinner the first two days were cold, poorly made sandwiches. I don’t think I got a hot meal my entire time I was there.
In short, this hospital traumatised me. Since leaving, I have 0 trust in health care workers, especially mental health workers. My mood has been unstable and I’m very paranoid now. I would rather be dead then go here (and no. I’m not suicidal so don’t send me here ever again).

I spent a month here in 2022 and did not have a good experience. If I could leave negative stars, I would. My belongings were stolen while I was here; all my clothes, my eyeglasses, and my mom's bible that she's had for years. We brought this up to the front desk when I was ready to leave, and they acted like it was no big deal, or my fault. Employees would walk in on me when I was in the shower or on the toilet. I got yelled at regularly, both by staff and other patients. The doctor who saw ...

I got yelled at regularly, both by staff and other patients. The doctor who saw me was rude and condescending, then tried to bill me directly instead of billing my insurance. The food is decent, and I liked that they let you outside each day. But I wouldn't go back here. I did not appreciate how I was treated by the staff or the other patients. Especially while I was ill. 0 stars, or actually negative stars.

I wanted to take the time to write this review because I felt that it was very much necessary! As initially when my brother was admitted I looked into the reviews for Heritage Oaks, I felt absolutely terrified! Im leaving 3 out of 5 stars one for my experience being I didn't like the limitations to visiting hours, as well as...

I wanted to take the time to write this review because I felt that it was very much necessary! As initially when my brother was admitted I looked into the reviews for Heritage Oaks, I felt absolutely terrified! Reading all the negative reviews and similar situations many different people were going through. I was only concerned about the care he would receive and his well being! Im leaving 3 out of 5 stars one for my experience being I didn't like the limitations to visiting hours, as well as I had not been able to speak with his doctor even once during his stay. Otherwise the staff was kind anytime I had questions and requests to speak with my brother were always relayed and granted. Any phone calls I made or messages I left via voicemail were returned, which doesn't seem like much but it Absolutely is!! As for the stealing reviews, electronics are not permitted in the premises, and are kindly asked to be left in the car. However I forgot AirPods were still in, so my AirPods were given to a staff member for visiting hours and I got them back by end of visit no issues (just don't forget to ask), I had dropped off brand new items unopened for my brother and he received them the same day, special shout out and thanks to Shavelle! And for my brother's personal experience, he said that the staff was nice and food was really good. I'd like to mention although I hadn't spoken with his doctor, he said he did see and speak with his doctor daily. His main dislike was the initial hold time, continued to be extended which I also read in the prior reviews, however I was told that is typical per every patient. We elected to continue care through private outpatient to be able to be more deeply involved in his recovery. Heritage oaks was accommodating and I do believe they have good intentions in providing care for their patients. Im thankful of the help my brother received!

The staff members mock, make fun of patients, and if you have any dietary restrictions they do not follow them I specifically want to call out VOY from unit 2E who works there who treats their patients horrible. Luckily you have people who do care tho like Tiffany Katelyn and Michelle from unit 2E. There are other employers there who treat patients bad as well but their names will be send emailed to someone higher than their house supervisor. ALSO it's pointless to contact their house supervisor because they never return a call. I've been waiting three days for a phone call from him and he hasn't given me a call back. The facility only got a star because of the good employees not because over all they are a good place. If you need care for mental health this is absolutely not the place to go for that

As another comment here mentioned: A human rights NIGHTMARE. They took me off (and refused to give me) medication I had been on for years. I had severe withdrawals from not having my normal meds. There is no individualized treatment or therapies here and the doctor/social workers only visit you for 2 minutes to decide your fate. I was also told by multiple staff that I wasn't allowed to cry or the doctor would not send me home. I practically didn't eat for 2 days and the staff didn't care. I...

Staff is unhelpful and unfriendly. No one seems knows anything. Son was there for 72 hold and couldn't get any help or information from anyone. I doubt proper or professional help is being provided here.
From the response I reviewed from the owner, that person also didn't understand my concern. I wasn't asking for patient information. I was asking why staff can't return calls or provide help to get clothing items to my son. Bad service and care starts from the top. When leadership is bad ...

this place would be amazing if they didn’t steal belongings from there patients. i had shoes and a hat stolen from me about 200$ worth of stuff. it’s just sad that there life’s are so sad and worthless that they would steal from patients at a metal health clinic. Also some of the floor people were disrespectful and shouldn’t work in that environment. if you go here or know someone who is there make sure to let them know to double check there belongs when leaving because these people are shady...
