The main goal of substance abuse treatment at Hazelden Beaverton is first to stabilize the client, and then to provide them with a drug treatment plan that addresses all aspects of the client's life. The main method of treating dependency issues through Hazelden Beaverton includes a program called Feedback Informed Treatment. Clients are provided with a variety of evidence-based treatment options designed to address their individual needs, but at the same time, those therapies are constantly being assessed by the clinician and client for their effectiveness. Immediate feedback is provided to the client about their progression through the program, allowing changes to be made if certain therapies are not working in the ways that they should be. Because this facility only offers outpatient addiction recovery services, clients are also able to choose a schedule that best fits their needs. Clients are able to fit their program around their daily lives. While in treatment, they learn relapse prevention techniques, develop support groups, and develop coping skills that can be used when triggers are present. Hazelden Beaverton does also have a DUII program and an opioid withdrawal program.

I absolutely loved my IOP experience and counselors. Once I moved to OP I had to miss a few weeks from being out of town. Not once since- about a month now- has a single person reached out. So I quit. I’m still sober. If it seemed anyone cared a little bit I would’ve continued. Sad.

As an attorney of over two decades focusing on family law and criminal justice cases, I've worked on hundreds of case with various clients dealing with addiction and substance abuse issues. I recently had a very negative experience with Betty Ford Hazelden. They were far more difficult to work with than most other treatment provide I've worked with. If you are attending for holistic reasons and you don't need any proof of treatment or written evidence as to what you've done in treatment, the ...

I wouldn't be where I am in my life if it weren't for the support and care from Hazelden. Thank you entirely to the staff, therapists, and counselors for all the support, resources, and continued education.

Easy to jump in, I just needed to stop drinking but wasn't bad enough for inpatient. Straight to IOP. Was a bit disorienting though, with everyone talking about "the steps" and all. Felt a bit like an outsider for a while, like I'd missed half of the process. Was just hanging out in group talking about various things. Then, jumped into outpatient virtual, which was okay. After that, a DBT group and 1:1 therapy. It did it's job, but would've liked more structure and process.

I’m 492 days sober today. I’ve been able to maintain my sobriety since I entered the program at hazelden bettyford spring 2021. I’ve been to at least 5 different treatment centers in my life and Hazelden saved my life. My counselor Andrea saved my life. Andrea is an amazing skilled, loving counselor. Thank you hazelden. The program is science based, focuses on mental health, honesty and compassion. I really appreciated the structure and the connections I made with others in recovery here. Th...

Such I great program for IOP. I really liked the structure of the meetings. I truly met some amazing recovering addicts and alcoholics. I’ve been to treatment more than just hazelden and I have to say I wish there was a branch near me because nothing compares to the process and staff and doctors at this clinic. Highly recommend this place for a recovery focused environment.
