I was a patient here for 10 days in their adult unit. I have been inpatient a few times since my twenties and this is by far one of the best facilities I’ve ever been too. The food was good, although I had to miss some meals because there were a lot of peppers in the dishes and I’m not a fan. They do offer sandwiches or peanut butter and jelly uncrustables if you don’t want the hot meal. Going to the cafeteria is great because you can get coffee with every meal if you want too (real coffee, not decaf) and they have plenty of juice and soda options (Coke brand).
I would definitely recommend this facility for mental health treatment.

The treatment that I received was phenomenal. I appreciated the sleep and meds and time to decompress. Groups were fine, good resource if needed. Shout out to RN Susan B. And Sierra N. All the staff was good. And my treatment team was amazing. They got me better meds and no side effects now.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my daughter. She was admitted to Hampton hospital and unfortunately this wasn't her first time. This specific time my daughter constantly called me crying informing me she was mistreated by a night nurse Sharon. Despite that my daughter said there were really nice staff and a specific staff she felt comfortable with and went out her way to help her and talk to her. ( Don't remember name) I will always trust Hampton hospital with my child's care but some pe...

I wrote a review years ago and will continue to do so until you all realize what you’re doing is illegal. I checked myself into this facility 8 years ago needing help mentally. In order to get into this facility they made me spend the night at SCIP which will only make your mental health worse and strapped me down to stretcher for “protocol” which was absolutely ridiculous to enter Hampton Hospital. The first couple of days I knew I would not get better in this facility. The med techs were beyond horrible, yelling non stop and talking down to patients like we are prisoners. Then making us sit in a room for 4 hours on hard chairs watching reruns of Intervention. If one person was talking in lunch line we all suffered and they punished us. We were not allowed to go to cafeteria and made us eat in rec room with our trays on laps in silence after screaming at us for 20 minutes straight. So much down time, with a tv and coloring books for ADULTS. Then the flu was running rampant and I just got progressively worse because the place was horrible. I tried signing myself out which I signed my OWN SELF in and was told no-I would have to go against “board” and they can deny my request and keep me for 30 days. And the rude woman at desk I was arguing with made it clear that they will keep
me. So I shut up and exposed myself to the worst living conditions I have ever experienced my whole life. 14 long days of hell. Only saw Dr. Maybe once for 5 min. I have PTSD from this place to this day. I chose this place because it was close to my home and wanted to see my daughter. Once in there I was told NOPE. Mind you have zero criminal record, wasn’t there for any reason besides my OWN. My rights were violated. Places like this need to be shut down. I will never not speak horribly about this place. Locking people in a room to scream at them like they were in boot camp and making them watch Intervention for hours does not make your mental health better. Shame on all of you!!!!!
Also I brought a bag of stuff. I listened to the rules of no strings etc. The techs went through bag and got rid of everything. Left me two outfits for 14 days. I went in with a Gap zip up which was not even in my bag of returned things. When I asked why some of my stuff was missing I was told they knew nothing and my jacket was on the back of the med techs chair up front. They were wearing it!!!!! This place is a TRASH CAN, do not send your loved ones here unless you want to send to them to years of therapy after like I had to do to deal with the trauma that went on here.

Nurses and techs were great. Social worker and doctor also great. They all seemed like they actually care about their patients. The only complaint is how dirty the place is. Literally mold in the shower. That’s not right.

Food was fine, but heavy but good to have seconds. Nurses and workers are nice and polite but not all the time. Shower no good, their shampoo fine but body wash is the same as soap washing your hand. Laundry takes awhile, dryer takes awhile to clean clothes sometime you have to do it twice or three times. Doctors on weekdays don’t pay attention for patients problem. Asking to change it but they refuse to give it. However weekend doctors seem to figure out the problem better and they seem to u...

Asking to change it but they refuse to give it. However weekend doctors seem to figure out the problem better and they seem to understand a lot more. They chat with you and find a solution but chat is very short. Group therapy is not so bad, learning new ways to cope and controlling anxiety and depression is well done. Nurses opening doors every night is very annoying but they could at least see thru the small window and not open it every 5 min.

My 18 year old Daughter has been battling Clinical Depression for years.
We have done it all and been through hell and back multiple times. She comes from a happy home and has a wonderful life. Depression does not discriminate.
I was petrified to send her back to another Hospital because of a terrible past experience of one in PA.
A few months ago, we hit a wall w her and decided on Hampton House. We were exhausted as a family.

She finished the IOP & OPP. She is a new person! I cannot Thank you enough. This is the first time In 4 years that I am able to take a deep breath.
Shes going to college in the Fall and she’s looking Forward to her future.
A short time ago , she wasn’t looking forward to anything. Her whole demeanor and focus has changed for the absolute best! Again, Thank you and hats off to the Hampton House and I highly recommend. Big hugs to you all.

Nurses Gratiana and Sharon were very disrespectful to me and peers. This made me upset because we are here to get better and they made that a challenge. However, the rest of my treatment was very good. If I ever have to return for help, I would come back here.
