I’ve been detoxing at this clinic for four years when it was under good management the staff was good supportive now they have hired addict and recovering addicts that is abusing their authority particular Joe just got hired manager he still using drugs. I personally know who his dealer is and he picks on the people that are trying to stay clean. And following the rules. Troy, the nurse was stealing methadone from clients. This place is now ran on professionally everyone there needs to be randomly tested just like the clients corporate needs to step in again.

Practically all of the employees are rude not helpful. You can tell the staff only car about getting paid. When I began my intake, Dewayne insisted that I did drugs because of my partner, and he did everything he couls to try to get me "admit" that my partner abused me when he did not. The black nurse with glasses actually accused my partner of being high in front of everyone there, and when I confronted her about it the next day, ahe lied and was antagonistic, trying to get me kicked out of ...

The black nurse with glasses actually accused my partner of being high in front of everyone there, and when I confronted her about it the next day, ahe lied and was antagonistic, trying to get me kicked out of the clinic. The counselor James is extremely nosey and does not follow confidentially rules. I even believe he was trying to break me and my partner up by prying in our business. He even had a conversation about my vagina with my partner with his door wide open. That was ridiculously disrespectful and unethical. I would never recommend this clinic. Not to mention the male doctor kept insisting I had Hep C even though I have no symptoms and will most definitely get it if I don't quit. I don't share needles ever, so that is impossible. Also all my test results came back negative, which I new they would. Basically, we were mistreated for being down on our and homeless. I qould like to rename this clinic FORT HELL. Please do not give them a reason to stay open. They are the dirtiest, shadiest methadone clinic ever.

This place used to be the GOLD STANDARD of methadone clinics. The counselors were sympathetic and well paid along with the rest of the staff. The best counselors did not leave. They liked it there. The nurses were not nasty.
CUT TO TODAY: bottom of the INFERNO. New management is more concerned with rules and regulations than clients. They pay zero, apparently, as the staff quality has gone down extreeeemely. My counselor whines because I only "use him to get more take homes.." and t...

CUT TO TODAY: bottom of the INFERNO. New management is more concerned with rules and regulations than clients. They pay zero, apparently, as the staff quality has gone down extreeeemely. My counselor whines because I only "use him to get more take homes.." and tells me about his problems with his mother. True, I would be a better counselor, and I am smarter, and to get a psych degree takes little. But I am paying a lot of money
(did I forget to mention that it was when they let in SSI patients that the place started to fall..it used to be all private, people who worked and had lives other than hanging on a corner looking for or selling pills)
The doctor, Tom Prendergast, is a complete sadist. He kicks dogs in the lobby, he smells like he does drugs at night with no food, and a lack of hygiene perhaps. The other doctor, Dr. Sanders, a woman, is nice, but is subordinate to the sadist and will not overrule his moronic decisions. If you say anything critical or suggestive that your needs are not being met by Dr. Pee as he calls himself, he will punish you in some very nasty way, such as taking away your take homes that it took you 2 years to earn, that you have had for 10 years.
The nurses are not mean. They are not counselors at the window, like it used to be, but they are nice enough. THey do not steal the medication.
The head of the clinic is not fully honest nor kind. She is not that knowledgable either. She does not understand Title 9, tho she quotes it all the time. WRONG. Her hobby is thinking up new rules, like, "no using the restroom unless you give a UA" so people come with bladders fun of donations, and are not permitted to use the patients restroom to empty the bladder. They are mad because they found a syringe in the bathroom. Gee, whizikers! what do you expect if you cater to heroin addicts who inject drugs, who are on SSI, and thus possibly homeless? Mary Ann, the boss, is fake nice, so just smile for the cameras and if you are on SSI you can get take homes but if not forget about it, you will be tortured and teased about your disabilities. Even if you get job offers you wil not be given take homes to go investigate or accept.
I would try the other branch in the Mission where Dr. PEE not include, only Dr. Sanders,, and there is apparently primary medical care.

This first part is for those who have rated and reviewed just to whine about the clinic and the folks who use its services, do you honestly expect to look out your window one block away from SF County, on a block literally under a freeway overpass, in a part of town full of businesses whose target demographic are people who have hit their lowest point in life, whether it is paying their monthly bail bond payment, dosing their daily methadone, or pitching their tent under the freeway, and the ...

You might as well complain about gyms because you don't want to see sweaty fat people working out, regardless the fact that they're trying to make themselves "better".
And to the person who began their review with "the people there that threaten me"....maybe you should take that as a sign to live your own life, mind your own business, and keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself and those that think the same, huh?
Now, this second part is relevant to Fort Help. I am surprised that so many people say this clinic used to be better & that it's gone downhill. I used to come here for Suboxone back in like 2008 til Idk 2010? Back when the black guy Isaac was in charge.
Back then the place was a joke. I stopped going when he lost his job for embezzlement. My first doctor there literally had to be escorted out by the police.
Ok how it could have gotten less professional. In 3 years I not once took a drug test!

⚠️ These people are great. The only people who have problems here are the clients! As anyone will tell you, Addicts want what they want when they want it. So please make up your own mind.

Quality has dropped in the last two years. I only hope the clinic can get back to what it once was: a true refuge for those suffering with opiate problems.
