TLDR; the therapists, clinicians and dietitians are amazing but the administrators and psychiatrists are problematic at best and disastrous at worst. I do not recommend this place to anyone with a non-restrictive dominant eating disorder or to anyone who tends to lean more towards aggressive or even direct communication. I also don’t recommend it to anyone who wants to work primarily on their trauma or depression, this is not a dual diagnosis center. But for your average anorexic, I think thi...

I am writing to share my feedback regarding my employment experience at ERC, which I found profoundly disappointing for several reasons. Firstly, I was concerned about the lack of security in public areas. The entrance was frequently left unsecured, allowing unrestricted access from the street. This situation often made me feel vulnerable, particularly during weekends when children and women were present, and the absence of security personnel was notably problematic. Moreover, I observed a ...

This is a very hard review to leave. I have read through every review left on here and it saddens me to agree on some parts. But there are points where I do disagree. With that said, I do understand that staff & the program may not be the same as when others were there. There is a somewhat new program director, Jane, and psychiatrist, Dr. Gilley, and whole slew of new primary therapist and 2 newish dietitians. While I was there, I saw how they made some program and staff readjustments to make...

ERC Sacramento is truly a lifesaver! My daughter struggled with an eating disorder, and this center was the beacon of hope we needed. The staff showed immense care and dedication to their patients, and their lengthy parent sessions were incredibly helpful in guiding us through the process. Shannon, the dietician, was exceptional in arranging personalized meal plans and providing guidance to parents on managing their kids’ meals. Danielle, the therapist, displayed unwavering dedication to her ...

For the most part, the staff at ERC is very friendly but that's not why you're going to a PHP. This facility is unorganized, and the therapists seem to have little experience with ED kids. For the amount, they bill insurance it's a joke. My child has made more strides in the right direction in 3 days at residential than in 3 weeks at ERC. Please DO NOT send your child here unless you want them to work with an inexperienced therapist.

I'm extremely satisfied with ERC. This was our first time seeking ED treatment and the entire staff from intake, during treatment and all the way to discharge were easy to work with. I appreciated the clear communication throughout the process and received a lot of positive support and encouragement. My child is on their way to full recovery thanks to our experience there. Makalia is an amazing therapist and has changed our lives :)

I called on a Friday to start the process of possibly going her for recovery. I should’ve listened to the reviews. I gave all my insurance information, my information, and the baseline of the “why” I was calling. By Monday I had an hour long consult where the woman suggested I do 7days a week full time. Which was shocking to say the least. I need help I’m not blind, however, that was drastic. By Tuesday someone was calling me wanting to admit me which immediately sent red flags as at this rat...

I don't mean to be rude or irrational, but just write this as an honest review. I feel like parents don't really know whats going on.. I mean, as other comments said, since I am was a patient, I can confirm it's true that they rate you on points/ percentages. They have daily prize options during community meetings, and mostly all of the people who've done things perfectly get to pick from something. If your kid struggled-- they won't get a "star" or "happy face". The staff also don't treat yo...
