Oh My! I was looking for care for a friend's relative and checked Nursing Home Compare and saw that The Douglas County Health Center has been downgraded from a 5 Star facility to a 1 Star facility by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This is an unfortunate development and a heart break to see such a decline. You might want to change your website to reflect that you are no longer 5 stars but down to a 1 star.

Saved my life during some terrible mental health periods. Everyone I encountered was helpful and friendly. I learned a ton of skills and resources the short time I received outpatient care in both a solo and group setting with my therapist. Her name was Peggy and she taught me how to pull myself out of the darkest places. I recommend to anyone who is struggling and needing care to try out a walk-in triage visit.

Front dest lady named Kim is absolutely rude and gives attitude if you ask questions about anything. She just hangs up on you when you are done with your call.

I had a mental break down and had to seek help with this company. During that time I was told that I was on a grant and would not have to owe anything. All of the sudden, a year later I receive and invoice saying my account was past due. There was no other information on how to dispute or even pay the bill except calling a specific number. I called that number multiple times and left multiple messages and no one ever got back to me. Fast forward 6 months and many attempts to contact them. I n...

I was here when COVID started until Aug of that year I believe in my in my heart that without there great care I would of been dead . So when a chance to get my inpatient Physical Therapy here I jumped at chance . Been here about 2 months and care is still A ++××× . If there was 10 stars I would given it to DCHC.. God Bless the workers and staff here..

Very uncaring people, don't place family here! They make harsh remarks and make patients cry, I've never seen a more unprofessional care -- ha ha facility. Work left to NA unqualified and your loved ones belonging are theres...they steal. end the County to investigate like they did the landfill....Criminals free place to get resources ... thats here..money, debit cards and free snacks.

I used to work here!!!! I love this place. This place is a God Send for those of us who can't afford to be in fancy nursing home and I love and miss everyone I used to work with! Oops ! I must clarify that I am talkin' 'bout the hospitalhospital part of this building. Anyway, I am sure that the health department deserves kudos too!!

This bleak, depressing, poorly run "hospital" is the last place I'd want to end up. The nurses are under-qualified, the social services workers like to isolate patients and the pharmacy employs people of questionable ethics IMO. The patients seem to be kept heavily drugged up to avoid problems. It's a dangerous, dirty place. Avoid.
