I have been dealing with an injury for 6 months. after waiting 4 months of waiting I finally got to see a specialist. He ordered for pain management to include shots in my shoulder that was 2 months ago. When I finally followed up about the shots I was told that the consult was canceled because they coded the consult wrong. I contacted the patient advocate office a week ago and was told that the specialist office would call me in three days to correct the issue. It is now a week and no return...

Last Tuesday, 4/16/24, I had my surgery performed at the Dallas Va medical center. I cannot say enough good things. All of the medical staff down to the person who wheeled me into the waiting room for the surgery was so kind and reassuring that they were going to take good care of me. The recovery process from surgery is always going to be less than pleasant, but they ensured I had all the medication I needed and gave me good instructions for home care. The surgeon, Dr Baeg I believe, was gu...

The most unprofessional medical staff I've ever seen. I've been using the VA Healthcare system in 2 states over 12 years through my Chapter 17 access to benefits. Been seen for depression, substance abuse, anxiety and a few other conditions. And then the day of my last appointment on approximately 4/15/24 I was called by the head of the Gold team in mental health, a Dr Graham.(Probably a nurse practitioner) Since that's all they seem to hire. And instead of having my appointment he told me I ...

Had same day surgery appointment was at 6am got here 530 am wasn’t taken back till 830am. The nurse who started IV and vitals was rude took about another 1hr30 and moved me to another holding area, at no point did I see the surgeon or was told what to expect during or after surgery. The anesthesiologist didn’t give medication until we were right outside the operating room when she realized she was supposed to give me medication. After surgery they had my spouse go get my prescription and at n...

Never had a good experience here, but my dad keeps coming back because of his veteran status and him getting to talk to other vets, he continues to come here. The nurses do NOT care about their patients. The doctors do NOT review charts of previous visits or communicate with each other. My dad has been called out twice for a test that has never been run (due to their negligence). The nurses he has has this time have been very rude and extremely lazy. He came in on a Tuesday and today is Frid...

I recently received care at the Dallas VA Medical Center, and I am delighted to share that my experience was nothing short of fantastic. From start to finish, the care and services provided exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the Endocrinology department at the Dallas VA was exceptional. The specialists were knowledgeable, thorough, and attentive, ensuring that my treatment plan was tailored to my specific needs and concerns. Similarly, the Cardiology services were top-notch. The cardiologis...

If your goal is to burn taxpayer money not treat the patient as even a person: go here! I was told it’s the second largest VA facility in the nation. That rampant image of youth on their phones during their shifts and neglecting work? It’s like stock imagery from this location. I’m going thru kidney cancer symptoms, and fairly severe at that. Dr. Bryan Bukaken? In the emergency department ridicules veterans and has supposedly been in medical for the last 15-16 years with the bedside manner of...

I called 2-3 weeks ago regarding the fact that I still haven’t be assigned a provider and someone told me that they’ll call me in 72 hours, yet I still don’t have one assigned. I just called just to find out they never put my request in whatsoever. Not to mention Patient advocate Eric Crawley absolutely sucks, I don’t understand how your whole entire role is to be an Advocate for veterans but butcher up my name then laugh at how my name is pronounced then to cut me off to tell me to stop tal...
