My local mental health facility had a wait list so my psychiatrist recommended this place. I called to schedule an intake interview and specifically asked if my toddler could come with me for the evaluation because I had no one to watch him. I was told yeah that's no problem at all. I get to my appointment and they tell me that they can't do the intake because I have a toddler with me and it's against their policy for children to be there. I told them that I specifically asked about it and I ...

Cottonwood Springs has been great to me and for me. The staff have been phenomenal. A few I want to point out: Adam the nurse - he was so patient with my million questions. He went above and beyond his job description to help me. And he listened and helped me through tough times. Next is Dr. Kahn - he was also incredibly patient. He remembered the tiniest of details and was quite receptive of things I had to say. He was honest with me but at the same time allowed me to give my input. Next up:...

My son went there on 4-18-24. I have been calling over & over again & no one picks up the phone. Finally I just pick any extension to get a hold of someone. She said I have to have some number for him. How am I supposed to get a his number when no one will answer. She said she took a message but I still haven't heard from anyone. She said they haven't had anyone visit since Covid. That rule needs changed definitely. I'm a receptionist at work. If I didn't answer the phone I'd be fired. My son...

Trying to get to the receptionist is literally impossible and when you do, they aren’t available. Missed a call from one of the therapists regarding my sister’s discharge and I called back having concerns and questions only to have to leave a voicemail. Never got a call back. From what my sister told me, it’s a waste of money and potentially unsafe. Sat in admissions for quite a while with no one checking in on her and updating about the process. When she was in, there was group therapy somet...

A family member of mine recently attended Cottonwood for inpatient therapy. The staff there was very welcoming and attentive to their needs from the time they checked in until the time they left their care. The environment was conducive to their recovery, and was kept clean to reduce the risk of sickness among the patients and staff. The meals were prepared with care and given at routine times to give the patients a sense of normalcy. Patients were able to do their own laundry in a clean envi...

I am only going to state our experiences looking in from the outside. Unfortunately none of the experiences are good. Your not allowed to visit your loved ones during their stay Every person we spoke to except for 1 therapist and the finance person came across rude and uncaring Its very hard to get someone to pick up the phone We got different answers multiple times when we asked questions and it made it seem that nobody was on the same page Got transferred to mailboxes that were full and we...

The staff here is amazing! Doctors give you individual attention and really listen to you. Treatment plans are adjusted to each person's needs. Each counselor has a different approach to addressing mental health and substance use disorders. I've learned a lot here and have been able to incorporate new skills into my daily life. Cottonwood Springs is an excellent place for anyone struggling with substance abuse problems or mental health issues. They also are very educated in medicine manageme...

to put it frankly: the doctors and management didn't listen to any of my personal requests :( i had to sleep on a cot in the lobby because they did not have a bed for me, but would not send me home. i was in an outpatient program with the same hospital, and i agreed to have a consultation with someone on the inpatient staff. my therapists, doctor, and myself had the same understanding of the situation. i had already had an inpatient stay recently, and just wanted a consultation with results ...
