Columbus Metro Treatment Center is a medication-assisted facility that provides access to medications like methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone in order to treat opioid abuse and the accompanying withdrawal many clients struggle with. The rate of relapse is relatively high for men and women who try to complete this process on their own, so treatment teams through Columbus Metro work to address this by providing a safe plan consisting of these medications and a combination of individual and group therapy. The goal is to minimize uncomfortable or painful symptoms while increasing the client’s overall motivation for change. Clients are then referred to a trusted substance abuse treatment facility that can continue the recovery process through a longer-term and more intensive plan that addresses the entire person and not just the symptoms of addiction. Columbus Metro accepts most private health insurance providers as well as Medicaid and Medicare.
