I was sent to Central Stars a few days ago. I came there voluntarily hoping to get the help I needed but the support and advice that was given to me was awful. There were a few nurses who were kind enough to at least help me feel comfortable there but the conditions in the facility were worse. There were times when it was freezing early in the morning and all we had were thin blankets that could barely keep us warm. They didn't even allow us to look through the window or to at least look at t...

I just got out this monday and if im being honest i actually enjoyed being there. we were able to just hang out and play cards, paint, or color. the food was amazing and the staff (most of them) were really nice. jonathan and abby were two of my favourite careworkers. i honesto miss it there and wish i could go back. i made a lot of friends there too!! they helped me find my triggers and learn coping skills and for that im thankful :)

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrible. If you don’t belong there, they keep you. The ones that need the help are kicked to the curb. The difference? Seems to be insurance. They kept my family member KNOWING he didn’t belong there. Continuing his “care” there caused more harm then good for his specific issues. When the risk outweighs the benefit of an inpatient facility, you release them. If they really know what’s good for the patient with all of their “educated pro...

i was sent here for a minor incident where i should’ve been held for only 3 days i was perfectly sane, forsurely way more than anyone else in there at the time and they still made me stay 5 extra days just because the doctor was on vacation.. the staff are complete bullies to everyone and none of them know how to even pretend to like their jobs. the food is disgusting always and every little thing is cheap.

Not in a good part of town, me and my roommate would hear gunshots at night, most staff are rude and of course other kids are horrible. Didn't do a good job of even protecting us from ourselves, and tried to up my anti depressant and anxiety meds 3 times in five days, both of which have a massive drowsy side affect and didnt want me to wait to see if one would have a bad affect. Not good for anybody honestly, I just wanted help and left worse then when I arrived. -Oliver 13

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE BE ADMITTED TO THIS PLACE!!!! dr.barr lied to us and told us that my grandson wanted to stay for a few more days, when my grandson actually had told him no he wanted to go home. He totally misrepresented his intention of helping when he knowingly was doing more harm. He even told my grandson that he didn't belong there, but told us the opposite. I believe he must have a vested interest in this place, because the only benefit of the additional days would be in the fa...

This place helped me. This place was amazing and helped me when I was down and suicidal. I still am down and suicidal. I am not suicidal enough to kill myself...well maybe. But I wouldn't check both ways before crossing the road and if a car were coming I would stop and let it hit me. Although I am not the same...they really helped get my mind off of things, other than the fact they left you alone with your thoughts for a while. It was peaceful. The staff were amazing. Andrew, was hella funny...

Ugh, this place is WAY better than the other ones I've been to. Though, some kids have been trying to do some bad things with me and the staff didn't care or said that they were untrained. Also, I HATE Natalie. Please fire her or talk to her. Thanks!
