They took good care of my mother for six weeks who was suffering from a schizoaffective episode. They then discharged her to a 90-day stay at a supervised transitional home, and I thank the staff for finding this resource that will allow our mother time to heal and reacquaint with society. Her condition has been very hard on our family, but I think these folks genuinely care and did the best they could to affect positive change for our mother. Went here back in 2021 (I think?), it was my first time going to a mental hospital. The other kids were really nice, the staff was.. well, most were better than others, but they treated me nicely. Also, I'm transgender (ftm), and they respected that (always calling me by my preferred name and pronouns). The only reason that it's 4 stars is because I do feel like it could've been better (I had had a few panic attacks and wasn't even asked if I was okay, saw my doctor like 2 or 3 times the enti...

The only reason that it's 4 stars is because I do feel like it could've been better (I had had a few panic attacks and wasn't even asked if I was okay, saw my doctor like 2 or 3 times the entire time (which he went on vacation nearing the end of my stay), and there was one time where the boys and girls had to be separated because one of the boys had grabbed one of the girls. Also, when I had gotten there, everyone was made to sit outside their rooms because of something that had happened with two other patients. Other than all of that, my stay was great, but not quite 5 star worthy, but maybe 4.5 stars (if Google still allowed that)).

Would give a zero if possible!
DO NOT allow anyone you care about to come here.
The Nurse Supervisors, Lisa and Brett, refuse to discuss my daughter's care.
She has shown signs of Lithium Poisoning and passed out once. They have refused after my request to check her Lithium levels for 8 days in spite of reporting multiple clinical signs of it. After starting Lithium, she reported stomach pain so they sent her to Progress West to have a stomach x ray but not test her Lithium levels.

After arriving 60 minutes ago and requesting to speak with Lisa, the nurse supervisor, I was able to get through on thephone. She said she was busy and would come up when she had time then hung up on me.
This is after I spoke with Lisa via phone four hours ago and she said she would call back.
Feel free to contact me for additional information.

Worst experience ever, yes there were some nice nurses, but no one listens to you they keep you there longer than they should, I was given medication that caused me to pass out and was later told that it was because I was too small and thin, I ended up in the ER from the whole medication thing after my first day was taken back there after I had begged someone to not let me go back there, and was put on a medication that make me not feel good and they kept changing the dosage and how many time...

I had to go to the ER as soon as I was released because my parents and my fiancé and my best friend were all worried I had lithium poisoning

My experience with the TMS team of Dr. Wilson and his nurse over TMS approval was a nightmare. I have some health problems and they said they needed a letter from my doctor. I did get the letter from my doctor and they still turned me down. Dr. Wilson changed his mind was the explanation I got! He changed his mind because I have a colostomy is the truth. That was the only new information. They won't admit it.

If I could put a negative I would! I completely regret taking my fiance there for alcohol detox. They violate patient rights, refuse to give paperwork after putting in a medical records request, put you on a 96 hr hold without providing the paperwork for that, push medication that does not help not to mention trying to force people to take electric shock therapy and refuse to let them sign out AMA! I have never heard of a hospital treating people like this before. The social worker won't even...

I have never heard of a hospital treating people like this before. The social worker won't even return a phone call to his case work for where he's going to go for outpatient so they can coordinate his aftercare. I'm trying to contact lawyers at this point just to get him out, it's completely ridiculous what they put people through. They need shut down and I hope that if anyone sees this review and is considering them DON'T go unless you want to be held prisoner

I was sent here about a year ago twice and never thought to put a review till now after seeing so many others come out about there experiences here that I thought I needed to speak up about the living conditions of this facility.
When I was first admitted here I was really nervous and scared because I’ve heard so many stories from friends of places like these being terrible and just overall making mental health worse. I was referred here by my school and I went trusting their judgment. Before hand I was receiving an out patient group therapy program that DID NOT help me in any shape way or form but that’s a whole other story.
First thing that happened was a strip check which made me extremely uncomfortable and anxious as they looked me up and down and grabbed my arm examining my SH poking and prodding like a I was a lab animal. Afterwards they took all my belongings including my clothes, shoes, a belt, and my phone which I had stupidly brought with me being my first time. They put all my items in a clear bin and I never got my stuff back till the LAST DAY before I was finally discharged. The food made me nauseous and just being there overall made me feel sick like I was going to throw up.
We were all forced into a “day room” which is where we would spend 99% of our time till it was time to go to bed. The beds are like gym matts and the bedding is not clean and smells awful I could never get any good rest because of the smell. The bathrooms were not clean and we had to share with about three or four other people. Usually I wasn’t even able to shower at all because other people were using the bathrooms. The staff are extremely neglectful as well and they wouldn’t even care or ask if I had showered and I often went three days without it.
We are also required to pee in a cup and get our blood drawn. I peed in the cup and gave it to the front like I was told and they just left it up on the counter for everyone to see for two whole days. My pee was clearly too dark and even Nelson (one of the staff) pointed this out but I was never given any drinks to help with it even though they said they would. The ladies drawing the blood did not know what they were doing either. They drew my blood TWICE from the same spot and I almost passed out and threw up. I was laying on the floor struggling to walk and I had to beg to lay down in my room before they finally let me.
I think one of the worst parts of this place though is that they don’t do anything. We don’t do anything. We’re forced into the “day room” all day where we sit and do nothing in plastic chairs that make our backs hurt. Numerous people complained about this too but no one did anything and the “schedule” was never followed. For example it would say things like “gym” or “art” but we never went so everyone was just crammed in the room. There was also this one patient who I won’t say the name of. She was a trans patient who was openly bullied by everyone but none of the staff did anything about it.
I was admitted for about a week and two days my first stay. I did meet some great people/staff while I stayed (barely any) and that does not excuse the other 99% of trauma that I had experienced. There was one staff in particular (a tech) his name is Mike Nettles. I remeber he would preach on and on non stop while being our tech and made people feel like a burden or like he was put off when someone needed to use the bathroom like every other staff. He didn’t like me in particular for some reason and would have me read through the entire rule book every morning which was about five or six pages long. He threatened us that if we didn’t read it he’d make us stay longer for “not following rules” and “compiling” so I did. He also had my friend do this a couple times as well but I usually ended up just doing it. The outside was littered with cigarettes and not cleaned either.
There are a few staff members who are kind and made me feel okay. I can’t remember her name but there was a really nice lady there. Anyway there’s a lot more but this is all I can fit into this review.

This place is horrible. I’ve had bad experiences being a patient there, and with people I know being patients there. I’d also appreciate it if Tiffany would not hang up on me when I call before I can even get a word out of my mouth. Hands down the worst phone operator I’ve ever spoken too. If your a patient here I’m sorry and I hope when you get out you get the help you need
