My son has been in many psychiatric hospitals, but this was the BEST one! They took the best care of my son even in the hardest times. They were caring patient and very knowledgeable on behavior disorders. I want to thank them all for helping my son get stable and back on track in life.

My review is for March of 2021. Most of the staff were caring and helpful. There were, of course, a few bad eggs. I developed a sinus infection while in-residence, and the doctor made me wait nearly fourteen hours before she finally checked me. By then I had developed fever and sinus pain.
Not being allowed to go outside was very frustrating. It increased my anxiety. Food was good. Place provided a reset for me.

Edit- I've been leaving messages since Monday, asking for my medical records because I need to send them to the federal government. I also sent an email request.
They can monitor their reviews, but can't provide me with my own information? I'd really like a human to answer a phone there.

This place is a joke. As an admit you are required to sign a ton of documents that one isn't coherent enough to understand. Some of the nursing staff are very nice but most of the people who work here just want to drag out as much as they can from your insurance in order to remain open and pay salaries. When staying there they threaten you with holds, they don't communicate at all regarding the process. They just put you with a ton of members, no introductions just thrown in the mess. The gro...

The groups were ok but they also treat every person as if they have the same issue at hand when indeed that's not the case. Also, they discuss everything about patients out in the open, there is no discretion regarding patient info and I'm indeed positive that HIPAA laws were violated. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They will try to intimidate you and also try to change your diagnosis without consulting with the patients primary physician.
*** The only positive thing I received from this place was being fed and the relationships I formed while I was stuck here.

I am pretty much just parroting other reviews for this place. Inconsistent policy on piercings. Lots of playing favorites among some of the staff. My biggest problem with this place however is that they baited me along and wouldn't give me a release date after a week. Ended up checking out AMA and having to walk to the Casey's down the highway to call my ride. Sorry but i would not recommend this place.

Some things really need to be changed at this facility. Medication mixups, desk staff talks openly about other patients in front of everyone, most staff were passive aggressive or rude, personal laundry goes missing daily. You’re not allowed to go outside, which really affects people’s moods. The windows are darkened so that you can’t even see sunlight. Staff talks loudly all night, making it even harder to sleep.

They will not allow anyone to leave voluntarily, even when you have voluntarily committed yourself. They threaten you with going to get a court order to keep you for 86 hours, no matter why you are there and what state you are in. I’m pretty positive this is so that they can bill you for the full week.
11/23 Edited since time has passed and I feel like I can be a little more open now. I was at this facility for suicidal ideations. I did not get a single one on one therapy session the entire 7 days I was there. I just kept getting told “soon.” It never happened. The entire time I was there, I felt like I was having an anxiety attack that I had to hide or they wouldn’t let me leave at the 7 day mark.
Without a single therapy session, they thought they could go ahead and diagnose me and medicate me. Which happened to many of the people I talked to inside.
Almost a year has passed and I still have nightmares that I’ve returned to this place. The only good thing I got out of this place was the friendships I made. I’m sure this place works well for others, but it was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made for myself.

Filthy bathrooms, desk staff were passive aggressive and short fused, desk staff often were left the desk with no one there for emergencies, Desk staff spoke openly about other patients, shots given at dining tables, Exit door was open until I informed them, desk staff gave certain patients special treatments, patients given wrong medications, inconsistencies with their policies and I could go on and on. I started complaining and they seemed eager to discharge me. I wouldn’t recommend this p...

This was one of the best acute psychiatric hospitals I’ve been to. The staff really cared about your well-being and did anything they could to make my week there comfortable and helpful. They helped me come to terms with the fact that I have to try harder in applying the things I learned in groups to my life. They will manage your medication to make sure you don’t have negative side effects and try to make the best guess on which will work best for you. The biggest downside for me was that it...

The biggest downside for me was that it’s somewhat boring during the day and you will eat a lot. I gained over 10 pounds in a week, granted, I could’ve chosen to eat less, but man, I can’t describe how boring it was. Playing cards, watching movies, reading books- they’re all sedentary activities. You’re not allowed to go outside, but that’s only because they don’t have a secure area that meets up to state policies towards patients with a risk of elopement. I smoke, but this is a non smoking facility. They have nicotine patches and lozenges for those who have strong cravings. You have groups for substance abuse, therapy, education on different diagnoses’, recreation (twice a day), and daily visits with a psychiatrist, social work (if needed), and an individual visit with a therapist on the weekends if it’s recommended for you. They help with scheduling outpatient services as well after you are discharged. If you’re worried about transportation, Medicaid is able to take you home or transport you if you have it. This facility is also transgender friendly, but they will place you in a room the aligns with your genitalia if they do not have any private rooms available, which in most cases, they can make changes to where a private room is available by moving people around. I am stealth, so I hid that I was trans for most of my stay and the staff were very resilient about not outing me to my peers. BRING YOUR OWN MEDICATION FOR HRT, they do not have these medications on site, so bring your testosterone vials or estradiol with your prescription label on it to make sure you receive your correct dose and don’t have to stress about it. I would make the trip to go here again if I was ever in crisis again. I would rate overall 90/100 if google let me, but only 4 stars would be unfair. Personal thanks to the staff for making this helpful to me, specifically Ana, Debbie, Carla (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong), Steve, the therapist whose name started with an M THAT I CAN’T REMEMBER I’M SORRY PLS FORGIVE, Jess, and Isaac the vapelord™️. (Must have COVID test, EKG, bloodwork, urine test, before being admitted) ((I came from the ER, which is standard for going to this facility)) (((Most are transported by ambulance and you’ll have that somewhat embarrassing entrance restrained to a stretcher))) Good luck to anyone who gets treatment here, you’ll succeed if you want to get better and are willing to put in the work to do so.
