My fiance is a veteran. He has injuries. They consistently have him go to the ER for imaging, a ten hour endeavor on our part, and a burden on ER staff, services, AND a large bill that may or may not be covered. All of this because they consistently just don't want to follow procedure of a doctor's visit, diagnosis, and imaging order. I don't understand it. I go to UH in Cleveland where they order imaging from St. Elizabeth's regularly. As non emergency patients, you have no priority for ima...

I've come to appreciate the Youngstown VA after about 20 years of being treated there. Most of the staff is nice, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I've come across some "bad apples" that dont seem to stay there very long. The current administrator there is assertive in his work. I'm giving 4/5 stars because when my doctor left (Dr. Cordova), I've been having a hard time finding a doctor that I can relate to. I've seen a few and I've now explored using Tricare more. I've also been to th...

I have been going here.for about three years. I have never seen a doctor, only nurse practitioner. Have back pain and hands and arms go numb. Before going here a doctor outside va diagnosed me with carpal tunnel and pinched ulnar nerve as well as three fractured or crushed disc's. According to va, I've had a miraculous healing !! Back pain so bad now can't walk. This place is the worst. Can't wait till I turn 65!

Fantastic eye care by DR. Callow, other doctors not so much, they want to draw blood every visit, and they have a very hard time getting my blood, so I use an outside Doctor. Mental health at the Youngstown VA Clinic is A OK. Thinking of going back again soon. Listening through the lengthy computer menu is like getting teeth pulled!

Went in on Thursday told the nurse that I had flu and strep like symptoms. She told me to go home and self medicate. Come back after I was sick longer. So I left and went to an urgent care. I was rushed to the hospital with a heart rate of 144. It took about 10 hours to get my heart rate with in range for me to go home. While I was there I stopped breathing. My oxygen levels stayed low for awhile after that. I also had strep and the flu which the hospital treated me for. So much for self med...
