Listen, if you’re considering getting on MMT, please trust me when I tell you to not pick this clinic. The Belmont clinic is like no other clinic. They flag/harass you every day if you can’t do two groups a week. My friend fell behind on groups but had done 2 a week that last 3 weeks yet they still flag/hold him every morning. Listen, if you’re considering getting on MMT, please trust me when I tell you to not pick this clinic. The Belmont clinic is like no other clinic. They flag/harass you every day if you can’t do two groups a week. My friend fell behind on groups but had done 2 a week that last 3 weeks yet they still flag/hold him every morning. I have never seen him come out of there in less then 30min. They’re requirements are impossible to meet. There is so many clinics in They refuse to work with you even if you work give my friend a ride every morning. He works at 8am so we arrive to the clinic at no later then 6am. He had been a patient for about 2 months. I am not kidding when I say he has a flag on him every single morning. Without a doubt this meets the standard for harassment. I’ve been to several clinics and I have never seen anything like it. They offer phone groups at 6am and 7am but you can’t be on the phone in a group while your dosing. It’s ridiculous. My friend is in there a minimum of 29 minutes every morning but often it’s 45 min. I would never recommend Belmont to anyone looking to get on MMT. Something is seriously off with this place. They act like taking methadone without doing 2 groups a week is breaking the law. It’s BIZARRE. I hope they change they treat their patients because Portland has many methadone clinics to choose from and I know my friend is leaving as soon as possible. This clinic has made his first experience with MMT miserable.

First off, those pictures aren't from the facility at all. Not one. Their walls are blue .They lied to me and my husband every step of the way. They originally told us intake would take an hour and it took 3. My husband and I do Uber and didn't want to dose at close to 12pm because it's a new medication and we don't know how it's gonna react with us. First off, those pictures aren't from the facility at all. Not one. Their walls are blue .They lied to me and my husband every step of the way. They originally told us intake would take an hour and it took 3. My husband and I do Uber and didn't want to dose at close to 12pm because it's a new medication and we don't know how it's gonna react with us. One of the people lies to my husband to try and pressure him into taking his dose and says that I told them I would be dosing. I never said that, and never planned to dose first day. The doctor was also insanely condescending when my husband mentioned that we had to work today and told him to "just do it later". Certain hours are dead, certain hours make more money. We have a car payment due and just can't afford to miss major hot time.
There were multiple issues with how my counselor Ashley filled out my account so I kept getting blue screens, was told I had to do orientation on 3 separate occasions even though I wasn't supposed to do it until Saturday,and then that she hadn't finished my intake. The front desk told me we'd only be back there for 3 minutes but as soon as I heard that my intake wasn't done after spending 3 hours the day before doing it,I left. They treat you like a child, they lie about everything, and they're bulldozers. There's been situations where people smoke fentanyl inside the facility . And on my intake day someone was smoking weed Inside the building. The only nice people there are the young blonde nurse with glasses(she let me squeeze this little shark ball thing while I had my TB test bc I'm afraid of needles and gave me a stamp after) and Michelle the counselor.

I was a patient at integrated health clinic before I came to Belmont. I went to hospital with a horrible infection in my leg (necrotizing fasciitis). After 2 months 7 surgeries and skin grafting I was able to be discharged. I had been in contact with integrated the hole time I was in the hospital. I was told to get my dose back to my normal dosing range (100mg). They had given me extra to manage pain, and come back after I was discharged. I was told to get my dose back to my normal dosing range (100mg). They had given me extra to manage pain, and come back after I was discharged. Well the day I came back I was told I was not a patient with interested anymore. I was flavor to say the least an asked how that was possible when I was told two days before to come back after I was discharged an the nurse looked me in the eyes an said I told you we would evaluate you when you came back. Then My councilor would not even talk to me. So I was freaking out. I had been a client of there's for over 7 years an was shocked they would do this to me . I then told the receptionist to have the doctor nick call me an he did an turned me on to Belmont. I was dosed the day I walked in the door. I had never started clean at integrated or got a takeout I been clean almost 2 years an have 13 take outs . I love the staff an the people I met you have your bad seeds anywhere but all in all A+++++

I’ve been coming here for years. Since I struggles at such a young age with self medicating. Coming here changed all that..this place has saved my life!!! The staff here are incredible; they take their time to give and show tools better equipped at helping urges & temptations to start self medicating(taking drugs). Without everyone that showed kindness and helped me when I was at my lowest. I don’t know what I would have done without them!!

Belmont is the best methadone clinic hands down.. my son and I have been to almost all of them in the Portland metro area. I went into Belmont on benzodiazepines and I'm off of them now. My son is off of parole after being on it for 20 years. The counselors and medical staff have saved our lives,. We are clean and enjoy life so much more now. Thanks to Belmont for everything..!!!

And I am here to say, that every single one of those photos are either from a different place all together, or completely fake. Belmont clinic DOES NOT look like that inside. Awful... Treated like a criminal. Treated like a child. Not taken seriously. Blown off, like my situation doesn't matter. Told that the reason they do things the way they do is because of federal or state law but when I look up the federal or state law they say they are following, it doesn't match their description in any way.
This is a FOR PROFIT corporation, dont get it twisted. The only thing this place, its employees, it's owners, and or its investors care about is the bottom line. How much money they can squeeze out of you personally, or the insurance is what they care about.
Last time I checked, this requires clients to go through a minimum of 2 drug counseling groups per week, 1 hour each to stay in "compliance" with "state law"... But the state and federal law doesn't say anything about 2, 1hour groups a week of counseling. The state law actually only requires 1 hour of counseling every MONTH. The only reason they bumped it up to 2 groups a week, is because they are allowed to charge your insurance 75$ PER GROUP, PER HOUR, which effects their bottom line. This place doesn't want you to get better, they don't want you to stop taking their medication.... They get paid more money, the longer you are on it. They have a incentive to keep you on the hook.
Up until recently, the clinic required clients to give random urinalysis to check for drugs and or alcohol in the clients system... This is expected, but what isn't expected, is the CAMERAS INSIDE THE BATHROOM, WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE. Yep, cameras were placed in the bathrooms to watch you while you urinate or deficate. Isn't that wonderful?
Like I said, recently they stopped this practice... But it doesn't change the fact they they did it, and if they hadn't been called out for it, they'd still be doing it.
During this covid-19 pandemic, they have completely given up on certain people in the clinic. Excuses are given that make no sense whatsoever.. They impose unrealistic rules on people while they are physically in the clinic..
Rules like,
1. No smoking within a 5 block radius of the clinic.... Yea, are u kidding me?
2. No loitering or even waiting for a buss within 5 blocks of the clinic.... How realistic is that? How are certain people supposed to get home?
3. No talking back to employees. If you talk back, or disagree with something an employee says, you can and will be punished for it.
Example: a certain client I personally know was told he couldn't smoke within 5 blocks of the clinic, he then expressed frustration and said "are you kidding me? That's ridiculous." and was put on a "behavior contract"... Yes, a behavior contract.... What is a behavior contract? Well, it's this little agreement that they MAKE YOU SIGN, saying that if you misbehave in any way, they will kick you out. And yes they Make you sign it, because if u refuse, you're kicked out anyway.
There is absolutely no patient parking at this clinic... Not a single reserved spot for anyone attending the clinic. There is no handicapped accessible spots for anyone in a wheelchair.
You are forced to park on the street, (which there are almost never spots available) or illegally in other businesses parking lots. And if you are caught parking in one of the adjacent businesses parking lots, you will be punished for that as well.
There are only a few employees at the clinic that actually care about the patients... A few councelors, the main security guard, the head nurse, and the front desk lady. These are the only employees that actually care. And they do their job extremely well. They work with what they have. I feel sorry for them having to work there.
