I finally reached my daughter at 3:45 AM and she drove in the blizzard to pick him up... And then drove him to our home. They could have put him in a recliner in the ER with warm blankets til dawn. They should have kept him til dawn so I could have safely picked him up. I called to complain but no one ever called back. I called' twice.
February 19, 2024.... Soooooooo interesting...right after the above post, I received TWO calls from two different people.. one of the people that took all the info said 'you will get a letter in a week to 10 days!!! NEVER heard back!!! Never got a letter!! Never got an apology!! Never heard if the careless cold doctor was reprimanded!!! That goes to show how much they care about their clients.

Horrible, horrible experience coming here for the delivery of our first born child. The nurses at the birth center are the only ones keeping that place going. Horrible, horrible experience coming here for the delivery of our first born child. The nurses at the birth center are the only ones keeping that place going. The doctors and all of the other staff here are the worse. My fiancé and I recently chose this place for her to have her delivery here and it was nothing but pure chaos. The amazing nurse/manager at the birth center came and spoke to us about the experience there and we told her what really happened.
Our baby was not going to be able to be delivered vaginally but the doctor kept trying so she ended up having to push in pain for about 4-5 hours. After the doctor deemed it will not be possible, she opted for a c-section. While my fiance was being operated on, they did not have enough meds in the room to make sure she didn’t feel the surgery. As I walk in to OR, to be by her side, I see she is being operated on. I go and sit next to her head to be by her side and she is in and out from some of the medication they have given her, but she is trying to scream telling everyone that she can feel as she is being cut open and she is basically feeling the whole operation. I was in the room asking the Anesthesiologist what was going on and if she was going to be ok. She assured me she was. Meanwhile my fiance is still trying to scream in pain. The team is now getting concern so they put her to sleep for a minute. Meanwhile I can hear the team saying that they did not have all of the meds that they needed. The anesthesiologist said she doesn’t have what she needs so she makes a phone call for someone to bring her what she needs. Again, my fiance is still feeling most of it so she calls again and they are taking forever! She makes one of the staff member in the OR go and get the medication that they need in order for my fiancé to not feel the surgery.
We explained this to the manager who told us she will be helping us file a complaint. We recently received a letter in the mail from hospital staff basically saying that nothing was wrong and that this stuff happens sometimes. So we are sharing this experience here to make others aware.

*Thanks to the Floor Mgr. Who listened to a major faux pas incident in lax care on one incident.
*Thanks to all who were professional, genuine, had great communication skills and were truly committed to the job..they know who they are.
I witnessed how taxing and over stretched some hardworking nurses can be. One nurse, Wanda did great work while assigned, however she could not finish with me without someone SCREAMING in the phone for her to do many other things. That needs to stop as the good ones are run away.
0* stars for A SPECIFIC member of the nursing staff whose name starts with S, *0 stars for the cliques and gossipers and temp nurse who had instigative behavior. Now, unfortunately there will always be one that exhibits behaviors not conducive to showing compassion nor suitable attributes for the job. I encountered such with one assigned nurse S, whom while being on staff, was lax in necessary skills with me. I am sure it happened with others who could not advocate. This person put on a good FACADE with co-workers but behind the scenes was different. She allowed me to walk when unsteady without my walker and told me "if you are going to be independent at home, you will be in here". Then she slammed the bathroom door, left. When she returned she did not help me in the bed and I had to contact the CNA versus her sending one in. Next, I was wheeled to CT without knowing I was to go right away as normally nurses come in and let you know. She and CNA wheeled me down and left me in the hallway for 15 minutes with no way back to room. The staff were appalled. They contacted the permanent head nurse who NEVER responded to the concern, but sent a nurse. Finally the pair returned after being seen rounding the corner on phones. Although the CNA was present, the lax is on the shoulder of the nurse who should lead by example. I asked if it was customary to just leave people and she retorted " we did you a favor by bringing you down here". Later, it appeared to be an issue between Depts., and all she had to do was find someone to cover her since she says she was not to leave the floor..again no planning skills. I believe she had planned to leave the floor with an excuse to be on her phone etc.
My first encounter with her was being rudely awakened with her jerking my arm 6-8 times because the BP cuff would not fit. No good morning, no I am your nurse. She never came to room to check on progress for me, but sat in the hallway gossiping and running the CNA.
Here's hoping all lies on these incident are brought to light, actions get better, staff training in pertinent areas, making sure lax areas are part of HR reviews.
I am not looking to advocate for negative employment implications for this individual(s ) as I know God has laws of reciprocity that works for the good of those who love the Lord.
I also wish the hospital the ability find the best staff as institutions deserve such. Godspeed in this area.
This report is only to communicate what happens while able to be cognitive as a lot cannot communicate what is happened to them. They need advocates, otherwise it only get worse.
This is a good hospital and does not need to be ruined by behaviors that don't belong.

I just got off of the phone with a receptionist at this location and was being cut off mid sentence, every single time. Nobody likes to be rushed and in this particular industry it is not okay all the more.
After reading reviews I am highly skeptical about visiting.
The only reason that I will be is because I love my doctor. Who is thorough, patient, and knowledgeable.

My husband had cancer and was admitted into the hospice area and passed away the next day. The nurses and staff were exceptionally nice and helped me thru the darkest day of my life.

The NICEST staff I've ever interacted with in a hospital! They made me feel so welcome and comfortable before and after my surgery!

Been physically ill for over 3 weeks with no relief. Upon entering asked if i had nausea and pain, to which i stated yes
very much. Had to beg for something for my nausea and vomiting. I also asked for tylenol, as pain was awful and was told he would pass along to doctor but was never acknowledged.
Nurse never asked if I needed anything....blanket etc. Was in quite a hurry to leave.
No follow-up as to how I was feeling after approximately an hour and a half.

I have never felt so insignificant, and burdensome. Read my after notes from ER, what was reported was an out and out lie. Conclusion was that because I struggle with depression etc. This is a psychological issue.
I've never felt so disrespected and dismissed.
NEVER will I step foot in this hospital.
EDIT- Went back to ER after my personal doctor spoke with ER doctor. Was treated wonderfully, admitted for a hospital stay and taken care of very well. Nurses and docs on 3 North were amazing. Shout out to Rowena, Karol, Lauren and the fantastic Cna!
So grateful to be on the road to recovery!
Always advocate for yourselves, you know if your body isn't right, even if your labs aren't crazy.

They can't seem to get their care team to actually communicate with one another to care for my grandmother. Wasted a bunch of time looking for a paper DNR and can't update lab results in a timely manner despite being on Epic EMR. Living in the past. Don't come here and expect evidence-based practice.
