Very disappointed on how they treated my sister. The lady over the phone was very rude acting like I was making a regular doctor's appointment. She did not say her name when she answered the phone, my sister did recognize her voice I said that was the African-American lady that works a front area phone. She literally said next week Tuesday after I asked her about coming in for intake for my sister. I asked her what were the days of intake if you had Tuesdays and Wednesdays but with an attitud...

I became opiate dependent 23 years ago after a accident and ended up in pain management. One of the worst things that could happen to someone in chronic pain, anyway after much deliberation over where to go to find some help I found Alliance Recovery Center. With much apprehension I walked in not knowing what to expect but was met with wonderful smiles from the front office staff that immediately made me feel much better. Than I met my counselor and was so comfortable talking to her that it ...

I was in treatment at another facility for 5 years, and ultimately discharged from DM& ADR on 80 mgs. I was very complacent there. DM& ADR always asked me if I wanted to increase my dose, and always discouraged me when I asked about decreasing. DM & ADR truly made me feel like a prisoner just going on parole. Like be I went to intake at Alliance the following week, and let me tell you the experience was 100% opposite than the treatment I had become accustomed to. They actually treated me li...

Friendly and helpful staff. If you are doing the right thing this place is wonderful. My therapist Marielle is awesome. For a year I passed all my drug screens and made all my appointments so i phased to the highest level possible after a year. I only report 2 times per month. next march will be 2 years and i will phase up to the max, I believe...phase 27 or 28. Report once per month. Those complaining are NOT doing the right thing

If you know what they do then you know what a dump many of these places can be. At least this one is clean. Counselors are typical, but mandatory. Regulations are enforced. These places always seem to be run by people who have more problems than the clients. So, no surprises here. It's a safe place, no people hanging out. As good as they get.

Alliance Recovery Center in Athens has been a life changing experience for me. My counselor, Julia, is an amazing person all around. She doesn't just treat her role within the facility as a job, you can tell that she actually cares for her clients and their success in the program, and more importantly their path to complete recovery permanently. Having someone to talk to who is extremely educated in the addiction area and who genuinely wants the best for you is such a pivotal part of recovery...
