We had a great experience today. My veteran husband had cataract surgery. All of the nurses were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I'm sorry for the patients who had a bad experience. There is no reason to treat veterans anything but exceptionally well. We are grateful for the VA. SO close to us.

I am a 100 percent disabled vet and I will avoid this place at all cost as to many civilians act like they know military personnel and treat them poorly. This place is a terrible place to be if you’re a combat veteran. This place makes you more stressed out if you try to get help please don’t let these people hurt you more go private insurance if you can. Reform is needed bad here.

Ok- so we know if a doctor graduates top of his class-he’s going private practice. “C” students will find employment at local hospitals and possibly a small family practice somewhere- Those who just barely made it through… will be entering the military or going to work at the VA. Albany Stratton is no different except for that they involve medical students in patient care and call it progressive. With doctors so stressed out, too many patients, substandard training or perhaps just not that br...

Do you realize how well we are treated at the va. Everything we need is in one building. In many cases, treatment is free. The employees there work hard to help us veterans. Be thankful for what we have there.

If you are a veteran, this is your one stop shop. Staff are caring and professional. Facilities are clean and comfortable. I brought my WWII father here for primary care, ophthalmology, optometry, audiology and podiatry. Was very happy with our experience - You will be too.

Podiatry is horrible Dr Thomas is the worst. He belittled me and another one of my friends who I go to appts with. He talks down to you and asks if you are stupid. Worst experience I ever had in 20 years there.

Housekeeping is underpaid and over worked. If you consider going through this department don't waste your time it's full of empty promises and very poor leadership. You're better off working at McDonald's at least they get paid more.

As an ex employee recently retired I can assure you that the VA has great people trying to do the right thing. Some times the leadership may be a little lacking. This is frustrating for the workers, but I assure the veteran community that the workers at all levels both medical and non medical are doing their best for the veterans and they do care. Thank them as they are human and love their veterans. I saw it everyday.
