My family member was told groups and therapy would be provided. They didn’t receive any of that. When they were dropped off my transportation there was numerous people with the cab and the driver informed my family member that the place reminded them of hurtling cattle. There was 150 patients and not enough staff. Everything was timed.150 people in a line for meds and food. Not enough time to even finish their meal. It was days before I was allowed to speak with my family member. When I did I only was able to speak with them for 2 minutes. I kept calling the facility and no one would answer. I was an emergency contact and wasn’t called when my family member fell and broke their hip. My family member informed me that when they fell they yelled and no one came to assist them. My family member also informed me that the nurses had talk to them like they were dumb and made them cry when they needed assistance with the phone. This facility needs structure, staffing, communication, and care. I would be disgusted to work here. Figure it out.

First off, I fully believe these institutions are needed. However, the nice, open, aesthetically appealing room you check yourself in at is completely different from the rest of the building. First off, I fully believe these institutions are needed. However, the nice, open, aesthetically appealing room you check yourself in at is completely different from the rest of the building. Once inside everything I saw-except for the cafeteria and gym- is outdated and not very well maintained. The detox section was very helpful, necessary but scary. The overall cleanliness of this unit was decent. The groups and scheduled classes were only held about 50% of the time, which was frustrating but I was told that the classes, groups and meetings would be much more available once in the impatient rehab program. This proved to be untrue. The gym and pool aren’t available during detox. There are many people with open wounds and/ or untreated ailments because a doctor wouldn’t treat them until their detox was completed. The impatient rehab is totally different. It’s disgusting, it’s shocking, it’s completely unsanitary. There are 8 women sharing 1 toilet, one shower, one sink, which is all understandable. There are about 40 women in this small section of the building. Vomit, excrement, and blood is not only all over the bathrooms, but in the common areas as well. No cleaning supplies or washcloths or paper towels were given to patients in order to clean these areas. There were many people with eating disorders that weren’t able to get to bathrooms so they’d use trash cans to vomit in, then when they or other patients or myself would try to change the bags, the staff would refuse to replace the bags and wouldn’t take the full bag or give us a way to dispose of it. There would be piles of clear trash bags filled with vomit and excrement outside rooms or at the end of the only hallway. The staff was sure to keep the soiled bags away from their office, but the patients could not escape the smell or the sight of this. The cleaning staff were very efficient, but were only there once a day. There was no other output for refuse. The staff refuses to give the patients towels or instruments to clean the common areas up with and refuses to do anything to address the conditions. It was horrifying. The staff overall is a group of untrained, unprofessional ‘peer counselors’, most of which were patients at conifer park just 90 days before. They are very understaffed. Most shifts seemed to be down at least 1 person, which meant they couldn’t hold scheduled rehabilitation groups, the groups that are necessary to our recovery. The staff would openly tell patients what staff member called in, what excuse was used, how often that particular person calls in, blaming the chaos and disorganization on the staff member that called out. The staff break more rules than the patients do. Groups are almost never held when they are scheduled, or never held at all. Outdoor recreation was only held if the staff member felt like going outside- it is supposed to be held daily for 30 minutes, which was never upheld. When I was leaving, one staff member kept saying ‘i can tell you won’t make it’! It was a bizarre way to leave. The staff was very unhelpful and discouraging in this way. I heard many staff members say things like ‘you aren’t ready to stop using’ or ‘you haven’t hit your bottom,’ or ‘recovery isn’t for everyone,’ or ‘you’re going to be part of the 90% that won’t make it’ or ‘we will see you in here again’. It was disheartening and unproductive, to say the least. The staff would congregate for dance-offs and gossip, but not to hold meetings or groups. They were totally unprofessional and impotent. The activities counselors in the gym were very good. The cafeteria staff was great and efficient. I was there for 16 days, and despite my asking repeatedly, I wasn’t given a treatment plan. I never saw a therapist or counselor, I saw a doctor twice, through telehealth. They were very focused on how much my insurance would pay for, vs how much help I needed. Focused on money, not my personal needs and goals. But truly, I’ve never seen a more unprofessional staff than in the rehab area of this hospital. It was definitely a disappointment.

This place is so unorganized and dirty, building is falling apart. Staff, maintenance and managers all agree the place could be a lot better and maintained better, black mold in nearly every bathroom on ceilings, food is barely warm unless you go the cafeteria. Lack of staff results in poor treatment. There’s not one good thing I can say about this place besides the few staff that they have, most actually care for the patients otherwise they wouldn’t still be there due to poor working conditi...

If you go here expect to be bored out of you mind.. expect to be highly disappointed, the only thing this place is good for is clean time and a roof over your head. But due to how poorly they are on top of things relapse while attending is a possibility..

The pictures they use to advertise are of rooms not in use and not falling apart like the rest of the facility. Make sure you bring any and all medications you might need because they won’t fill your scripts for you. Don’t take any of the staff’s word, especially evening MOD’s, because they don’t always do what they say they will do no matter how many times you ask them promise to follow through. They are unorganized and there’s an obvious communication issue throughout the facility- you have to tell several people that, for example, you’re a vegetarian to get food without meat even days later. They wanted me to keep a dirty bandaid on the infection on my arm, rather than even look at it, with “hopes it’ll just get better on its own”. The place is so dirty and rundown. There’s halfway patched holes all over, rust, mold/mildew growing on the bathroom ceilings, the caulking on the shower and tub is old, mildewed, and falling apart. The three days I was there, someone who was not local to the area went MIA by walking off the grounds and never returning. The lack of concern by the staff made me really uncomfortable. Two people signed themselves out of detox and were allowed back onto the unit a few hours later, stumbling and slurring their words, obviously no longer sober. Dr. F doesn’t believe everyone is an individual, he will constantly compare you to other patients and how treatment has worked for other people. Overall I didn’t get the feeling everyone there had my best interest in mind or was really listening to what I had to say. I was told I can’t more than I can.
