Jullee Capshaw

LCMHC-A (Clinical Outreach)

I am Jullee Capshaw, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. My devotion lies in using therapy as a beacon of hope for the youth, guiding them through their formative years. Adolescence, especially in the wake of a pandemic, is laden with complexities. I stand firm in the belief that when young individuals are provided an environment where they can be their most genuine selves, therapy can illuminate their path. Within the sanctuary of acceptance and positivity, I offer, therapy aids in fortifying self-worth, pinpointing detrimental thought patterns, acquiring coping strategies, and guiding one toward inner tranquility.

At the heart of my therapeutic approach is the client-therapist bond. This integrative, person-centered method emphasizes the power of empathy, optimism, and genuineness in cultivating a space where clients feel safeguarded and acknowledged, reinforcing their potential for growth. My sessions often incorporate mindfulness practices, grounding tactics, identification of thoughts and values, and techniques to manage emotions.

I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at The University of North Georgia in 2020. The next phase of my journey took me to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2021, where I pursued advanced studies and subsequently achieved an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Carolina-Charlotte in 2023. My professional background spans various environments, from hospitals to universities. I pride myself on my ability to connect with individuals across diverse cultural backgrounds— race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, faith, age, or economic status. I bring my expertise to Live Another Day to write compelling content that is meaningful and supportive to everyone.
